Title : RedHat Linux Administrator Location : Pittsburgh, PA Duration : 6+ Months Contract Senior RedHat Linux Administrator This position will support both internal and external RedHat Linux servers. This is an intermediate position which includes supporting the team lead. Position Profile: • Provide systems administration support for RedHat based environments; • Provide 24X7 production support; • Keep abreast of new server and operating system technologies and trends; • Develop and write server and operating system design documents; • Develop custom scripts and RedHat kick-starts to automate operating system installations/builds; • Limited travel will be required (some international); Position Requirements: • 5+ years of experience providing support for RedHat Linux environments (preferably at two different companies); • Experience administering RedHat Enterprise version 5,6; • Experience installing and configuring Dell blade servers, HP servers; • Experience with supporting corporate network based services (i.e DNS, NIS, NFS, SSH, autofs); • Experience supporting Oracle 10G and 11G database; • Strong shell scripting skill in bash and ksh and PERL. • Strong oral and written communications skills; • Red Hat Certified Engineer designation a plus; • Experience with designing, building and supporting application development environments; •Must have the tenacity of a bulldog; •Some networking experience is needed (set up network switches, modify DNS records, and diagnose routing and NATting problem) Warm Regards, Jack Dorsan .
