Detailed Description: This position requires an average of 20% domestic US travel, which can increase to 40% during months of heightened migration/roll-out activities. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: *Education* • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, adult education or a related discipline, or a strong combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates required skills and capabilities. • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS): Microsoft Outlook 2010 or 2007 required, additional MOS certifications a plus. • Additional certificates or credentials from recognized organizations such as ASTD a plus. *Required skills:* • Minimum 3 years experience delivering end-user technology training through a variety of formats, including stand-up presentations, classroom instruction and virtual/distance learning. • Minimum 3 years experience assessing training needs, and designing, developing and implementing a variety of training materials: e-learning courses, online and offline job aids. • Extensive experience using common rapid e-learning development applications such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, Lectora, ProForm/Unison, others; advanced knowledge of and hands-on experience with at least one demo/simulation capture and editing application such as Captivate is required. • Extensive knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design and industry best practices including the ADDIE model. • Experience with SCORM standards and managing content and information on Learning Management Systems. • Mastery of Microsoft Office and desktop publishing techniques using Word, Adobe Acrobat, etc. • Mastery of screenshot capture and manipulation software such as SnagIt, Hypersnap, or other. • Superior presentation skills. • Superior writing skills. • Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail. • Able to work in a team/matrix environment, as well as produce deliverables independently and with minimal supervision. *Preferred skills:* • Experience with SharePoint 2007 and/or 2010, specifically with creating sites from templates and managing their content. • Experience developing web-based content with any of the following: Flash, HTML, XML, Dreamweaver. • Experience with shooting and editing video, applying effects, file compression, and uploading into platforms such as YouTube. • Graphic design experience and/or strong familiarity with graphics/photo software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. • Experience with audio narration recording, editing, compression and publishing as part of other materials and/or as independent learning materials such as podcasts. • Experience using Microsoft Project to plan and track projects and tasks. • In-depth familiarity with blogging, discussion groups, wikis, and social networking platforms and their capabilities. * Writing samples will be required.* Viewable samples/portfolio of training content development work preferred.
