*Infrastructure Program Manager*

*Description:*

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves
as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line
management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and
prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions
to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and
objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for
intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and
clients. Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and
standards. Considered expert in field within the organization. Develop
solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity
and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization
objectives. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises
considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to
assignment. Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the
future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve
results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company
resources. Serves as consultant to management and special external
spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its
policies, plans, and objectives. *Minimum bachelor degree (or equivalent)
and 10+ years experience in project management.* Organized and attention to
detail work skills focused on process improvement and project management.
Excellent communication and listening skills are a necessary prerequisite.
Results oriented with strong problem-solving skills. *Potential for
international travel as projects span regions. *Six Sigma Green Belt or
Black Belt is preferred.



This position will be responsible for Program Management of the Global
Hardware Lifecycle Management Program, which encompasses managing the life
cycle of IT assets from planning through retirement, including replacement,
elimination, consolidation, and virtualization of servers/storage in nine
regions around the world.  *The ideal candidate must have a depth and
breadth of experience in the infrastructure space with exceptionally strong
program/project management experience in a global setting, having worked in
multiple technology domains.  Candidate must possess excellent leadership
skills, problem solving and communication skills (written, verbal, and
instant).* They must build and maintain strong working relationships within
a global, culturally diverse program.



*Primary responsibilities:*

*- Responsible for program planning, scope, execution, deliverables &
outcomes, with project manager oversight in the Americas, Europe/Africa and
Asia/Pacific. *

*- Ensures Program is delivered within the agreed upon schedule, budget,
and quality constraints coordinated between all the different Program
components *

*- Defines Program Governance including Roles and Responsibilities and the
Program Infrastructure (program office, technology, and other factors in
the work environment supporting the program effort)*

*- Acts as the communications conduit to Infrastructure Leads, executive
sponsors and program steering committee and conducts periodic
briefings/status updates and provides support and guidance to the Program
Coordinator and Project managers by establishing the Program direction.*

*- Builds and maintains a comprehensive Program Plan/Schedule with Project
Schedule rollups. Reviews/approves Project Plans/Schedules for conformance
to Program strategy*

*- Accountable for addressing external and cross team internal
dependencies, mitigation and resolution of program level risks and issues.
Escalates to Program Owner and Executive Sponsors as necessary.*

*- Ensures all Projects under the Program are adhering to the
Program/Project Management Quality Framework, the Global PMO policies and
procedures, and other compliance processes where applicable*

*- Implements Financial reporting, metrics and controls for the Program*



*Required Experience:*

*- 10-15 years of Infrastructure Project and Program Management experience*

*- Global Program / Project management experience mandatory*

*- Excellent relationship building skills*

*- Strong organizational, leadership, problem solving and influencing
skills*

*- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication*

*- Strong Microsoft Project skills an absolute requirement*

*- Experience in multiple infrastructure domains (servers, storage,
networks, telephony, middleware, security, messaging, data bases,
applications, etc.)*

*- Sensitivity to the multi-cultural characteristics of the global IT
organization*

- ITIL certification a plus

*- PMI/PMP certification required*
