Our partner's BI offering assists clients in building and deploying architecturally sound, evolvable enterprise-scale information and interoperability architecture, by providing expert consultants or teams. Our partner provides consultants on a consulting, and staff augmentation engagements, in contract, contract-to-hire and direct hire positions. Our client is tasked with providing oversight, guidance, and regulatory compliance within the Capital Markets, and is dedicated to bringing integrity to the markets and confidence to investors through effective and efficient regulation, compliance, and technology-based services. We are looking for innovative and committed people to help define the client's platforms and systems. We have an immediate need for a Software Security Engineer. *Job Responsibilities:* - Perform software security testing at a unit, functional, and system wide level. - Perform manual and/or automated secure code reviews. - Lead threat modeling activities. - Assist development teams in designing, developing and implementing integrated software security solutions. - Conduct security risk analysis of business and technology projects. - Participate, as needed, in documenting software security standards, guidelines, policies and procedures. - Act as Software Security resource on assigned projects. - Create reusable software security artifacts. - Develop and/or deliver software security focused training. *Qualifications:* - Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field and 5+ years of security development experience. - Programming/development experience using C#, .NET or other applicable programming experience. - Development Background (At minimum, have the ability to understand .NET, Java and PHP source code). - Web-Application Security Background (At minimum, should be able to understand and evaluate web-application security vulnerabilities). - QA, test automation, and test design experience. - Experience performing automated and/or manual code reviews. - Experience in a group development environment as a Software Engineer, QA Engineer or Build/Release Engineer. - Experience with interpreting policies and appropriately applying them to projects. - Experience writing technology-specific best practices. *Skills and Experience:* - Secure Software Architecture: Facilitate the identification of relevant security threats (Threat Modeling and Misuse/Abuse cases) and the establishment of appropriate security control requirements and test plans for all application types, such as Custom Internal or Cloud (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) hosted Web App/Services, Mobile Apps, Big Data solutions including ETL. - Ensure that software is architected and designed to avoid security-related logic flaws and other adverse security consequences. Ensure 3rd party software is securely configured. Develop reference implementations for technology-specific security controls. - Application Security Control Guidance: Provide expert guidance to developers on the appropriate selection, design, implementation, and configuration of application security controls. Provide enterprise guidance through support of Technology Policies and Standards augmentation with security requirements. - Security Infrastructure: Support the identification and selection, including established business case, of viable security controls to support the organizational needs, such as encryption solutions for targeted use cases of varying levels of visibility and access.
