· Prepares detailed analyses, plans, diagrams, and procedures for
existing and proposed computer applications.
· Designs, modifies, and implements new or revised systems to serve
new purposes or improve work flow.
· Analyzes software problems and develops solutions.
· Develops, analyzes, and revises system design procedures, program
code, test procedures, and quality standards.
· Prepares instructions for user testing and prepares and develops
instructions and manuals to provide guidance to end users.
· Performs research and the analysis required for project proposal,
software and systems modifications, and new projects.
· Develops and implements specialized programs to supplement and
enhance systems software.
· Oversees and provides guidance in troubleshooting and solving
problems relating to computer applications.
· Prepares flow charts and diagrams describing logical operational
steps of programs.
· Assists in maintenance of computer applications.
· Trains staff to use developed computer applications.
· Assists in the design and implementation of new or revised
methods that effectively meet agency needs.
· Performs related work as assigned.
