Rate is open.* Position: Software Developer Drawing Automation Location: YORK, PA Duration: 6months *PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: * • API programming using VBA to automate the creation of drawings. • Additional programming tasks utilizing .NET API programming. • Create and maintain automated product drawings that represent the "as sold" configurations of YORK standard products to support the YORKworks suite of software. • Utilize AutoCAD to create Actrix active shape templates that are subsequently automated in order to build unit graphics. • Research and extract geometric information from drawing databases, CAD systems and MRP/ERP systems. • Work with product development and marketing teams, change control boards, drafting, engineering, and business analysts to obtain necessary information and to insure that the deliverable meets business requirements. • Maintain legacy software in a corporate environment. *SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * • Programming experience in Visual Basic or .NET, additional programming languages and data base a plus. • Experience in AutoCAD, Inventor, or Autodesk ETO pertinent to the automated creation of models and drawings. • Knowledge of drafting standards and conventions is beneficial. • Good organizational skills and the ability to work on more than one project at a time with exceptional attention to detail. • Ability to work independently or in a team environment. • Must be able to communicate and understand technical material from engineers, programmers, designers, drafters, and marketing personnel. • High degree of interpersonal skills including both oral and written communication. • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and MS Office Suite.
