Please go through the following job description, and if interested, kindly respond with Resume, Rate and Phone numbers of the Consultant. *Role : Sr. Data Analyst** **Duration : 12+ Months* *Rate : Negotiable* * * *Location : Portland, OR* * * * * *SUMMARY * As a member of the Data Architecture & Reporting (DAR) team, the BI/Data Warehouse Senior Analyst will perform requirements gathering and system analysis, data analysis, data mapping, functional design, and data quality improvements. This individual will be working closely with end users, ETL developers, Data Modelers / architects, Report Developers and functional teams. This role will mentor other DW Analysts. *ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Ø This position will report to the Senior Manager Data Architecture & Reporting (DAR) Ø Perform data analysis and develop data mapping and functional solution design documents for DW & ETL team members Ø Works with business end users to gather, create and document requirements for the enterprise data warehouse Ø Works with the DAR Team and other IT teams to ensure feasibility of design and clarify user requirements Ø Capture business rules and builds physical design document to meet user requirements Ø Work with Data Modelers and DBA to create/update table structures Ø Work with report developers on the detailed specifications and an effective design Ø Understand and Interpret logical design document and data model diagrams to understand requirements to build physical design document Ø Good knowledge and experience in understanding logical mapping and data model to build Physical Design documents Ø Effectively communicate the functional design to developers and confirm the same with the business analysts team Ø Experience in implementing a data warehouse; understanding of Inmon or Kimball DW methodologies Ø Document overall business processes and data/information flow. Suggest and implement process improvement and data collection opportunities. Ø Design and maintain SharePoint website to enable collaboration of various required data deliverables. Ø Mentor and train other BI/DW analysts and team members on DW methodology Ø Provide user training including creation of training documentation.
