*Job Description:*
Seeking an experienced OBIEE - Admin with 12c upgrade experience.
Installing, upgrading, patching, configuring Sizing & capacity planning,
maintaining Security setups and SSO configurations OBIEE tools. Understand
and enforce the best practices of OBIEE environment. Validate RPD
consistency. Documentation of any configuration or parameters changes.
Monitoring and ensuring optimal and consistent system level performance

*Responsibilities:*

· Hands on experience in installing, upgrading, patching and
configuring OBIEE tools (preferably 12c)

· Understand and enforce the best practices of OBIEE environment

· Handle multiple environment administration simultaneously

· Assess OBIEE environment faults and issues followed by
identification of the root cause

· Provide remedial measures to the OBIEE environment issues or
failure

· Implement and maintain Clustering, Fail over/Disaster Recovery
and scale out setups

· Sizing & capacity planning of the environment

· Configuring and maintaining Security setups, SSO configurations
in OBIEE

· Administering system backups and recovery when required

· Monitoring and ensuring optimal and consistent system level
performance

· Tuning of performance levels when required

· Liaison with Database DBAs, network admins, UNIX/LINUX admins to
ensure optimum service levels

· Outage planning and administration

· App server/Weblogic server configuration & maintenance



*Required Qualifications:*

OBIEE - Admin - 11g Strong understanding OBIEE 11g architecture Installing,
patching, configuring maintaining Security setups, and SSO configurations
OBIEE 11g.

· Sizing & capacity planning of the environment Monitoring and
ensuring optimal and consistent system level performance Tuning of
performance levels when required 3+ years Mandatory

· Data transformation (ETL) Knowledge of Informatica is a plus
Familiarity with Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL tools) to
facilitate loading large amounts of data.

· Preferred Unix OS Experience working with Unix servers.

· Experience with Shell scripting.

· Preferred Database / Other Expert knowledge of SQL.

· Ability to write and understand complex SQL required.

· Query analysis and tuning experience (hints, explain plan,
TKPROF).

· Expert knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL best practices and development
methodologies or standards -.

· Data modeling Experience a plus.

· Data Warehousing experience a plus. 5+ years Mandatory

· General Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in
computer science or related discipline or have equivalent experience. 5+
years Mandatory

· Personal Initiative Motivated self-starter.

· Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

· Ability to work in a team environment where team conducts code
and design reviews prior to implementation.

· Ability to lead minor tasks and follow up on progress specially
if depending on others to do their tasks.

*JOB SUMMARY:*

This position is responsible for the design, development, installation,
monitoring, maintenance, and

enhancement of the enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) environment. They
establish the link

between the BI system and the data source(s) through the use of BI software
tools and multiple

layers of security architecture.

The BI Senior Administrator should not be focused solely on keeping the
present model working, but

rather should also be continuously working to develop the future state so
that the BI delivery and

development platform is perceived as a dynamic and responsive entity,
rather than a static reporting

application.



*MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

1. *Install, configure, deploy, monitor, and tune BI and analytic tools and
servers.

2. *Architect scalable, high availability Business Intelligence solutions.

3. *Develop a comprehensive semantic layer containing business measures and
dimensions.

4. *Design a security matrix for data, semantic layer, and application
levels.

5. *Serve as advanced level support for BI related topics.

6. *Participate in the evolution of the data warehouse as an enterprise
resource.

7. *Supplement BI tools by developing custom applications to support
routine tasks in a BI

environment.

8. *Coordinate system upgrade, configuration, governance, benchmark and
test planning, tuning,

and troubleshooting of BI services.

9. *Ability to turn business requirement into a physical or logical data
model.

10. *Provide end-to-end support for technical issues and troubleshooting of
BI tools.

11. *Assess the marketplace for the latest product and enhancement
opportunities.

12. *Advocate Semantic Layer Continuous Improvement process.

13. *Establish and maintain a Reporting Object and Instance archiving
policy, implementing object

archive techniques with an emphasis on transparency and efficient retrieval
of the archived material.

14. *Responsible for analyzing various data structures to promote
optimization of SQL queries.

15. *Provide a highly available platform which supports the proper
utilization and visualization of the

data warehouse.

16. *Maintain a data warehouse metadata model for impact analysis and
linage assessment.

17. *Preserve a repository of data, reports, and applications using
lifecycle management strategies.

18. *Conduct research to evaluate new or upgraded technologies in the BI
environment.

19. *Work with 1st and 3rd party vendor support to resolve technical issues
identified within the BI

delivery/development suite

20. *Assist enterprise departments in choosing appropriate tools and
education for the self service

development and delivery of business intelligence as appropriate for their
technical ability and

opportunity.

21. Performs other duties as required.
