We thought about this for a bit.  We're doing our best to track libclammspack 
very closely with the upstream libmspack project.  At the moment, it's 
identical, albeit .1 version behind.  For this reason, we decided to use the 
same library version number they're using which doesn't change with each 
release.  I'd be curious to hear input from others on this subject.
