There is another good packer, written by fine russian boy under GPL -
7Zip (www.7-zip.org)
Someone did port it to unix (p7zip.sourceforge.net).
Supports 7z, ZIP, CAB, RAR, ARJ, GZIP, BZIP2, TAR, CPIO, RPM, DEB.
