There is no process running, though. I decided to reinstall clam, but still the same thing happens. I'm at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated. [Clamav-users] CVS....
Interesting. $ clamscan -V clamscan / ClamAV version 20030829 frantic:/usr/local/src/clamav-devel $ clamd -V clamd / ClamAV version 20030829 I seem to be having the same issue. I am using the anonymous server, with a standard configure/make/make install dance, with no errors. And it seems to be running fine, detecting the eicar test virus and rejecting accordingly.
Saludos . Carlos Barreto
[Clamav-users] trashscan Vs clamdscan --mbox
Searching the archvies, it seems I've only seen trashscan suggested as the way to use clamav from procmail. I initially tried to set it up as a milter, but after running into many permissions problems I decided to try procmail, at least to test. Trashscan seems to invoke a lot of othe programs though, whereas the --mbox option to clamscan looks fairly simple, and has scanned everything I've thrown at it. Does trashscan to anything --mbox doesn't ? If not, this simple procmail rule has worked very well for me in tests: VIRUS=`/usr/local/bin/clamdscan --mbox --disable-summary --stdout -` :0: * VIRUS ??
