Re: [clamav-users] Solaris pkg download

2017-11-16 Thread Yuri
This question better to address to OpenCSW repository owner, Dagobert.

He is not here.

(I see long hard way for real Jedy like you - just install VirtualBox
onto your home notebook, install Solaris 10 into virtual machine,
install pkgutil into solaris, download ClamAV inside virtual machine,
write it onto flash, bring to your work - profit!);-)

We're not searching easy ways, is it? :-)

Or you can ask other guy who has solaris servers connected to internet
to download and send to you by e-mail.

BTW, how you will be get regular updates for ClamAV, if your servers
does not have internet access? NSA/Pentagon, where you working,
prohibits also get AV updates? :-!

There's a lot of dependent packages, but they have clamav-0.99.2 behind their

for installation onto a host.

Re: [clamav-users] RHEL 6 (workstation repo) Clam install error

2017-11-16 Thread Thomas McCourt (tmccourt)
Hey Jason,

You can attempt to download it this way (with internet connection).
wget
http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm
rpm -ivh epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm

After that, attempt to install ClamAV.

Thanks,

Tom M

[clamav-users] RHEL 6 (workstation repo) Clam install error

2017-11-16 Thread Walker, Jason T
Hello Tom,

I used the lowercase...I think it was Outlook that capitalized the first letter
of each command. It still isn't working for me. Perhaps it is because I'm
using a WORKSTATION version of RHEL 6? FYI This is not a standard RHEL Server
version...do you think that may have something to do with it?

With no network connection here is what yum tells me. Note the path to the
workstation repository:

[root@ISFAV-Linux Desktop]# yum install -y epel-release
Loaded plugins: product-id, refresh-packagekit, search-disabled-repos, security,
  : subscription-manager
Setting up Install Process
https://cdn.redhat.com/content/dist/rhel/workstation/6/6Workstation/x86_64/os/repodata/repomd.xml:
 [Errno 14] PYCURL ERROR 6 - "Couldn't resolve host 'cdn.redhat.com'"
Trying other mirror.
No package epel-release available.
Error: Nothing to do

Here is yum output with network connection:

[root@ISFAV-Linux Desktop]# yum install -y epel-release
Loaded plugins: product-id, refresh-packagekit, search-disabled-repos, security,
  : subscription-manager
Setting up Install Process
rhel-6-workstation-rpms | 3.5 kB 00:00
rhel-6-workstation-rpms/primary_db | 61 MB 00:55
No package epel-release available.
Error: Nothing to do
[root@ISFAV-Linux Desktop]# yum install -y clamav
Loaded plugins: product-id, refresh-packagekit, search-disabled-repos,
security, subscription-manager
Setting up Install Process
No package clamav available.
Error: Nothing to do

Regards
Jason

Hello,

I'm trying to install your product on a RHEL 6.9 PC. Your documentation
refers to the yum repository as a source of the RPM file, however yum replies
that the RPMs do not exist for the following packages:

1) Epel-release

2) Clamav

Any assistance on this installation is appreciated.

Regards
Jason
