I thought I was the only one with that problem on a recent upgrade.

Easiest way for me was to:

% apt-get --purge remove clamav clamav-base clamav-data clamav-freshclam
clamav-testfiles libclamav libclamav1
% apt-get install clamav clamav-daemon
