should this be correct?

-rw-r--r--. 1 clam clam654336 Jun 7 03:18 bytecode.cld
-rw-r--r--. 1 clam clam 123921920 Jun 9 03:26 daily.cld
-rw-r--r--. 1 clam clam 307499008 Jun 8 03:18 main.cld

I've no main.cvd

...

Here's mine in 64-bit Debian stable/Jessie's /var/lib/clamav/:
total 421972
drwxr-xr-x 2 clamav clamav 4096 Jun 8 20:25 .
drwxr-xr-x 88 root root4096 Mar 30 06:57 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 clamav clamav654336 Jun 6 13:55 bytecode.cld

-rw--- 1 clamav clamav 1300 Jun 8 20:25 mirrors.dat

I also don't seem to have a main.cvd according to locate command even
after running its updatedb command.

As promised, we were able to ship a new Main.cvd and the cdiff for the
main.cvd a few minutes ago.

It should have hit the mirrors in the past few minutes. As always,
this will increase the amount of traffic on the mirrors from people
downloading the file, and should settle down within in the next 12-24
hours.

I’d like to thank our Signature team for working late into the night
the past several days in order to get this out on time!

We have tested this Main.cvd and cdiff on all currently supported
versions of ClamAV. Please let us know via this list if there are any
problems.

Does it take to do anything manually or will this be downloaded and
installed automatically by freshclam?

In my old updated 64-bit Debian stable/Jessie box, it was automatic in
the background (you can see its /var/log/clamav/freshclam.log file) but
it took a long time to complete with its CPU using a lot.

Ah, it is a known issue. Thanks, Al. I will wait. Yeah, this is an issue
for slow machines like mine. :(

For some reason, applying the 4MB daily-23454.cdiff file took a really long

Curiously, the main-58.cdiff took only a fraction of that time (less than 30
seconds) to apply, despite being twice the size.

So I'm wondering, when posting a new main.cvd in the future, is there a way to
decrease the size of the daily cdiff files by having more of them, or would
that not help with the processing time? Is there any way to do it without
making it look like freshclam has hung?
