The 'pkg_delete' your old clamav package, 'pkg_add' your new 0.75.1 package, and done. Thanks DS. I will make sure the configurations are backed up first. But I've test the port on a 3.3 generic server and it works. So 3 release for this version!! Thanks for you feedback. ++ Jerome ___ THIS EMAIL IS CONFIDENTIAL. [Clamav-users] clamav and smtp-vilter: not scan for certain domains
I am using smtp-vilter-1.1.4 and ClamAV0.73 on OpenBSD-3.5 Is there any way to customise smtp-vilter or ClamAV so mails from certain domain are scanned for virus? Or mails from certain domain are NOT scanned for virus? Thanks Zoong --- This SF.Net email sponsored by Black Hat Briefings Training. [Clamav-users] ClamAV on Windows and Sendmail on Unix
I currently have ClamAV (0.65) and Sendmail running on the same server Pentium 200 MHz. ClamAV scans inbound and outbound mails for Sendmail via local TCP (localhost, port ) The performance is not that great given the specs of the server. I have a Windows 2000 Advance Server on a AMD 2.6 GHz on the same subnet. Can I install ClamAV on the Window server and have it scanning inbound and outbound mails for the mail server on the old Pentium ? I hope with the better hardware specs, I can speed up the AV scanning process. If you use other glues (e.g. mail-scanner, amavis, etc.) that depends on the glue. Try man clamav-milter, then use --server=HOSTNAME/ADDRESS Yes, I am already using clamav-milter. However, that would result in high amount of data transfer on your LAN during message scanning. Other than that, I don't know anybody who actually runs ClamAV on Windows (with cygwin, usually) for mail scanning on PRODUCTION servers. The Windows server has cyswin installed as well. Should I install ClamAV natively to windows or to cygwin? I would recommend formatting your Windows Server and put Fedora on it :) I love to do it but we require a Windows server. It's the only server in our LAN Regards, Zoong --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Oracle 10g Get certified on the hottest thing ever to hit the market... Oracle 10g. [Clamav-users] Problem with clamav-0.65 on OpenBSD 3.4: fill up /tmp
I have 2 Intel boxes running OpenBSD 3.4 with clamav-0.65 (from port) with exact the same setup and configuration for ClamAV, Sendmail and smtp-vilter One box always fills up /tmp even I increased the size of /tmp to 2, 4, 6 times. The other box never has that problem. /tmp is almost empty. Strangely, the first box has very low mail volume compared to the 2nd one (both inbound and outbound). The difference between the 2 boxes is the first one is Pentium 200 MHZ while the 2nd one is Pentium 4 2.6 GHz. So why the slower CPU box keeps filling /tmp? Any idea?
