[ANN] Leiningen 2.0.0-preview5 released
I'm happy to announce the release of Leiningen 2.0.0-preview5. This release fixes a bug where the repl would hang under certain circumstances. It also adds support for encrypting credentials used to deploy to remote repositories. ## 2.0.0-preview5 / 2012-05-31 * Fix a repl bug where namespaced keywords weren't read right. (Colin Jones) * Prompt for credentials upon deploy when none are configured. * Support encrypted deploy credentials using GPG. * Warn about missing metadata when deploying. * Default to refusing downloaded jars when checksums don't match. * Apply middleware before calculating profiles so they work in with-profile. * Allow reply dependency to be upgraded independently of Leiningen. * Don't write "stale" directory when running outside a project. * Proxy settings are passed on to project subprocesses. (Craig McDaniel) * Revamp tutorial, spin off profiles guide and faq. * Fix bug that would cause repl task to hang. (:b {:b 1}) => 1
("b" {"b" 1}) => same error.
If you want that to work, you need something that creates ({"b" 1} "b") or
(get {"b" 1} "b")
for your example, I believe this works
(-> (hash-map "b" (hash-map :a 3)) (get "b") :a)

Keywords implement IFn meaning they can act as functions that look themselves up in a map. Strings are just strings. Replace "b" with (get "b") and you'll get the behavior you're looking for. Network Visual Layout Algorithm
Hey folks, I'm looking for help demonstrating Clojure's superiority to Scala :) I have a contest going with a colleague, where we each have to render a network layout in SVG. My gut says that Synthetic Annealing is the right tool for the job here. 1. Does anyone have a better thought than synthetic annealing? Speed is key in this contest 2.
