Printing Strings in Lists

Below are two operations that print (1 2 3 4).  How can I do something
similar to print (1 2 3 4) to standard out?

(println '(1 2 3 4))
- (1 2 3 4)

(def x 1 2 3)
(println `(~x 4))
- (1 2 3 4)
