[ClojureScript] [ANN] konserve 0.3.0

Hello,

I am happy to announce the release of version 0.3.0 of konserve, a
clojuresque durable key-value/document store protocol with core.async.

Most importantly serialization protocols are now factored as a
protocol with implementations for Fressian, Transit and
pr-str/read-string. The protocols are also now wrapped by real clojure
functions. For more details have a look at:

https://github.com/replikativ/konserve

I have also updated the CouchDB backend:

https://github.com/whilo/konserve-couch

Feedback is (as always) appreciated,
Christian

Re: [ClojureScript] Re: ANN: ClojureScript 1.7.170, Enhanced Build Pipeline

2015-11-16 Thread Daniel Compton
Can someone explain why it's necessary to manually add a dependency on
clojurescript in the :plugins vector?

:plugins [[lein-figwheel "0.5.0-SNAPSHOT"]
  [org.clojure/clojurescript "1.7.170"]] ;; Overrides broken
lein-figwheel dependency.

Shouldn't the version of ClojureScript specified in :dependencies always be
used?

[ClojureScript] Re: [Om] Getting component owner

2015-11-16 Thread Ransom Williams
thanks so much for this! `(.. _ -props -children -owner)` saved my pants. in
the om api docs, there's a distinction between an "Om component" and a "backing
Om component" with phrasing that's subtle on a first pass. elsewhere, i've
read -- and, in fact, it's true -- that "the backing Om component usually
referred to as the owner" is a "real React component", and i find the latter
phrase clearer.

i think part of the reason that this doesn't come up as often is that it's
suggested that inter-component communcation in om be done by means of channels.
or more generally, although om wraps react, 1-1 translations of js with react
to cljs with om don't always make sense.

still, this get-owner is a very helpful utility function.

Re: [ClojureScript] Re: ANN: ClojureScript 1.7.170, Enhanced Build Pipeline

2015-11-16 Thread Francis Avila
FYI since this was written lein-figwheel 0.5.0 (not snapshot) was released
which fixes this dependency problem, so specifying cljs manually in :plugins is
no longer necessary.

I imagine the figwheel snapshot was somehow either running the compiler in the
wrong environment (i.e. the leinigen plugin process instead of the project
process), or was rewriting the project process's dependencies incorrectly
before running itself in the project context.

Re: [ClojureScript] Re: ANN: ClojureScript 1.7.170, Enhanced Build Pipeline

2015-11-16 Thread Roan O'Sullivan
FWIW I encoountered same "Could not locate cljs/analyzer__init.class or
cljs/analyzer.clj on classpath" issue when using lein version 2.5.1. Upgrading
to lein 2.5.3 fixed the issue for me.
