[clutter] Re: clutter + webkit + flash
Hi David, Well no, I never got around it. My guess is that it works, but for what I remember at that time, webkit is rendered on a cairo context which is displayed inside a cluttertexture, it is somewhat like that. So IMHO you can't play high definition videos for instance. I have also the same problem that you had and I was wondering if you already got an answer. Does it need a gamer machine? :p Thanks Mike -- To unsubscribe send a mail to clutter+unsubscr...@o-hand.com
Re: [clutter] Re: clutter + webkit + flash
Hey guys, If you guys are interested you can look at the Screenweaver Project. Screenweaver is basically a Netscape wrapper housing the Flash Player, and GTK is used for embedding and event mechanisms. (Netscape wrapper is old, XEmbed is the current technology to play with and Webkit should support it) The exciting part is there is a Neko VM wrapper also so you can extend the functionality in C level quite easily. This is a Adobe AIR killer in that respect. I would love to see Screenweaver or the Flash Player working inside a Clutter object. Unfortunately the Win32 backend has no equivalent to ClutterGLXTexturePixmap. I'm not aware of any equivalent to the texture-from-pixmap extension in WGL, although that doesn't mean there isn't one. Clutter builds find under win32 using mingw, as far as I know. ciao, Emmanuele. -- Emmanuele Bassi, Senior Engineer| emmanuele.ba...@intel.com Intel Open Source Technology Center | http://oss.intel.com -- To unsubscribe send a mail to clutter+unsubscr...@o-hand.com
