Stus-List Autopilot on 35 Mk II

2015-06-28 Thread Gary Russell via CnC-List
Hi Greg,
I had a post to the C&C list blocked for being to big, and I think the
one below was it. If so, I apologize for the delay.

Yes, I did loose some "throw". I have 45 degrees of rudder angle in
each direction (90 degrees lock-to-lock). I don't find that to be a
problem.

Re: Stus-List C&C 37+ Repower -- Ugh

2015-06-28 Thread Edd Schillay via CnC-List
Chuck,

That is a good deal for a Yanmar, but I'm going with a Beta 30. It's the
closest match mount-wise and the same horsepower as my dead M-35.

Also, not to downgrade the Yanmar name, but I called two Yanmar dealers last
week and did not get return phone calls. Farron at Beta in NC has been beyond
responsive - providing advice, ever-changing quotes, diagrams, etc. several
times a day. For me, customer service means a lot. Add to that Beta's great
reputation and I was sold.

Hope to have it by mid next week and back in the water by the week after the
holiday.

All the best,

Edd

Been following your predicament and saw this on my local Craigslist.
I have no idea on how or if it would fit, but is seems like a hell of a
deal.

C&C 33 MkII I have 2 winches on either side of the companionway, 3 barient #10
and 1 #18. The jib halyard leads to the #18 on the port side and the main leads
to a #10 on the starboard. Jib is furling and the main is up and down much more
often. Is this the standard setup or have things been changed by a P/O? G/F
would likely appreciate having a 2 speed for hoisting main. Anyone know of
someone selling a good used #18?
Thanks

Brad,

My 35/3 has 2 # 10s. Try Bacon's, craigslist or ebay. An 2 speed should
be easy to find.
