Re: Stus-List kanzaki transmission
If you overfill, you _will_ have oil leaking (overflowing). Not a pretty picture. And don’t ask how I know. Do I refill only up to that line? Can I go over? Is the plug for the dipstick threaded all the way down for reading level? I dug through the service manual and have found nothing on this. I was told overfilling the Kansaki transmission was a bad thing by my mechanic this summer. Re: Stus-List Thoughts to those in Matthew's path
I know Steve Thomason this list has a C&C 36 in Merritt Island. Hope you fared OK, Steve. Today would have been the perfect day to go down to Sebastian and search the beach for stuff washed ashore from the 1715 Spanish treasure fleet (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McLarty_Treasure_Museum). Re: Stus-List yanmar diesel
I always put my diesel in gear when running it at the dock. Always heard diesels don't like no load conditions. It also blows the gators out of my slip. Dennis C. Stus-List yanmar diesel
The black smoke may indicate excessive carbon buildup. If you don't have three hours to run it is, next time you bring her in while the engine is still running out it in neutral and run it up to 90% of max RPM for about 5 minutes.
