The sensor connects the wire to ground when there is no oil pressure and that sounds the buzzer. If the sensor is defective, it will not connect the wire to ground and the buzzer will not sound. So... If you connect the wire to ground, you are doing what the sensor should do, and the buzzer will sound. If the buzzer does then sound, the sensor is faulty. Rich Wait a sec. I too own a 29 mk11 (also for sale) and recently had my new boat transported by road. Don't overlook the fact that you will need to unstep the mast, secure it to the trailer and restep it, if moving the boat by road. It appears from the online photograph on Craig's List that the bottom of the keel has been altered. For comparison purpose you should know that the Sept. issue of Windcheck ( www.windcheckmagazine.com) has three C C 29 mk11s advertised for sale.
