Have to admit that I did it once with our Redwing 35 (C&C 35-1) in South Haven, Michigan. Something interrupted our normal departure routine. Pulled the wires out of the boat end. Came back to the dock and the cable was in the water and still live! Can't believe it didn't fault the breaker. I now have a better mental check list before leaving the dock.
