3 to 5 boats + land/air travelers is fine. I think our Chesapeake rendezvous have been about 5 boats and that plus the land contingent makes for a lot of fun. Non-C’ers?? Who wants those types? Yesterday, I was on a corporate event on the San Diego Bay and we powered past the area’s biggest regatta event of the year that attracts over a hundred participants and uses a staggered start system so that it’s boat-for-boat at the finish. I was enjoying the view final leg of the competition, along with an attorney from my group who is a J109 owner/racer in the Chicago area. We saw a J109, a few J105s, a couple of J100s and several other makes/models. I saw a Baltic, but not one C He said, “I sure see a lot of J-boats out here, Edd.” My reply: “That’s because all the C’s have already finished.” All the best, Edd ———- Edd M. Stus-List Florida rendezvous
I would welcome a Florida rendezvous but not in February. I'm out in the Rockies skiing for most of that month. Early March would be good. Although I live in Louisiana, Touche' is in Pensacola. It's only a 6-7 hour drive from Pensacola to Tampa. A 7 hour drive is nothing compared to my upcoming 40 hour Louisiana/Colorado/Jackson Hole/Salt Lake/Aspen, CO/Louisiana ski trip drive. Dennis C.
