Remember, it is a good habit to check all your emails and trim the fat off when 
you reply.  Every message posted to this list is archived and I pay for disc 
storage.  An email with all the old stuff still left in gets costly.

I just received notice from our hosting company, that we have gone over another 
storage limit and the price is going up.

 

Every message that is sent out on this list is archived for future retrieval.  
If you send a message it is archived.  If someone replies, and leaves your 
original message, it gets archived.  Now if this goes on, the same original 
message could be archived many times – and that means archival space and space 
means money,

 

Please take the time to check your messages before you send them.  Trim off the 
fat and make a nice lean email message.

Out of curiosity, I printed off a recent email and to my amazement it took 4 
pages.  The actual message was contained on the first page.  The second page 
contained previous messages which could have been trimmed.

The annoying fact is that the last 2 pages all contained multiple occurrences 
of:

This is not necessary if you properly trim your messages.  Don’t just hit 
reply, type in your message and hit send.  Remember that some people are on 
limited bandwidth and this extra garbage costs them money.  

Every message that is sent to this list is archived and and stored on our 
hosting company.  Our archives are now so large that I am being charged extra 
every month for archive storage.

Please, please trim your messages.  If you don’t want to follow a few simple 
rules, it leaves me no choice to put you on vacation for a couple of weeks or 
completely unsubscribe you.

it is a waste of online storage which costs $$!

I've turned it back off and tested to my work email.  It seems to be back to 
normal...
