BTW – as someone who used to fly cargo planes – please make SURE that tank is
REALLY empty. I shipped a spare tank to someone and after venting the leftover
methane, I filled it with compressed air and let the air out about 10 times to
make sure it was empty.
I didn’t take any labels off of it, but I did write “empty tank valve open” on
it.

I'm told that one of the few remaining sources for CNG tanks is CORP Brothers,
Boston (I don't have the mailing address or phone number, but they are listed
on the WWW). Apparently the process is to take all stickers off your empty
tank, and ship it to them by UPS as metal. They will return by UPS filled with
compressed natural gas. CNG is rare these days, and CORP Brothers is one of
the few places that I have heard provide this service. This process may cost
you $300 or more. Good luck!

I think those valves would fit on a SCUBA tank, you might take it to a SCUBA
shop and see.

All, I recently removed my CNG tank from my C 33 to have it inspected and
hopefully re-filled. Much to my dismay, it did not pass inspection (not a
surprise as it is most likely 46 yrs. old) so I am now looking for a
replacement. My tank is small measuring 7" in diameter by 29" long or 60 cu. ft.
Any ideas on possible sources would be most appreciated, I am not looking to
convert to propane.
