ADAMS COUNTY:
--A Great Crested Flycatcher and Golden-winged Warbler and 2 Nashville
Warblers were banded by McBurney at the RMBO Barr Banding Station on
September 14.
--A Nashville Warbler and Great Crested Flycatcher were reported by
Breitsch at Barr Lake on September 14.
--2 Nashville Warblers were reported by Breitsch at Barr Lake in brush
along the canal between the banding station and the Pioneer Trail on
September 16.

BENT COUNTY:
--A TRICOLORED HERON was reported by Duane Nelson at John Martin Reservoir
at the west end visible from Clayton Point on September 12.   The
TRICOLORED HERON was at the west end of John Martin Reservoir again on
September 14 as reported by Nelson.
--At Tempel Grove on September 11, Gillian reported PHILADELPHIA VIREO,
Blackpoll Warbler, Great Crested Flycatcher, and Red-bellied Woodpecker.
--A BLUE-HEADED VIREO was reported by Duane Nelson at Tempel Grove on
September 12.
--A juv YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER was reported by Duane Nelson at Van's
Grove on September 14.
--A BLUE-HEADED VIREO, Black-and-white Warbler,  and Tennessee Warbler were
reported by Dowell at Tempel Grove on September 15.

BOULDER COUNTY:
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Floyd at Cottonwood Marsh near the
boardwalk and a singing Eastern Phoebe at the west end of Cottonwood Marsh
on September 10.  An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Burke at Walden Ponds
on September 12.
--A 1st year  Blackpoll Warbler was reported by Mark Miller at Twin Lakes
in Gunbarrel on September 13.
--A Blackpoll Warbler was reported by Floyd at Greenlee Preserve in
Lafayette on September 14.

CROWLEY COUNTY:
--A juv Sabine's Gull was reported by Kibbe at the cattle feedlot on CR G
between two lakes on September 15.

CUSTER COUNTY:
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Dowell and Rauch at Lake DeWeese on
September 14.

DENVER COUNTY:
--A Black-throated Gray Warbler was reported by Rurik SW of Ferrill Lake in
Denver City Park on September 14.

EL PASO COUNTY:
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Farese at Fountain Creek RP south of
the Grandfather Cottonwood on September 14.
--A Field Sparrow was reported by Peterson at Ramah SWA on September 14.

EL PASO/PUEBLO COUNTIES:  Chico Basin Ranch is a fee area.
--A Tennessee Warbler and Ovenbird were reported by Brown at the Chico
Basin banding station on September 14.  Seen but not banded was a
Black-and-white Warbler on September 14.
--An imm f PAINTED BUNTING was reported by Farese at Rose Pond on the
Pueblo side of Chico Basin Ranch on September 15.  The bird was at the west
end low in Russian Olives.
--Brown reported that a Great Crested Flycatcher was banded at Chico Basin
Ranch on September 16.

FREMONT COUNTY:
--3 Green Herons were reported by Moss at Holcim Wetlands and a Black
Phoebe was nearby on September 13.
Moss reported the Holcim Wetlands suffered extensive flood damage.
--A Blue-winged Warbler was reported by Moss on the Canyon City Riverwalk
east of the old sewer tanks near Sell's Lake Trail on September 14.  Moss
also reported Eastern Phoebe on the other side of the river on September 14.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--A Prothonotary Warbler was found by Goldthwait at Main Reservoir in
Lakewood on September 10.  Main Reservoir is in the NW corner of Florida
and Kipling.  Park in the only lot and walk west until you enter a wet
woodland.  The warbler was with a mixed flock in the woodland.  The
Pronothonotary Warbler was reported by Sanders at Main Reservoir on
September 14.
--A Magnolia Warbler was reported by Kingery east of the banding station at
Chatfield on the Waterton Fall Count on September 14.

KIT CARSON COUNTY:
--A YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER and Great Crested Flycatcher were reported by
Kibbe below the dam at Flager SWA on September 14.  In trees along the
lakeshore, Kibbe reported 4 BLUE-HEADED VIREOS and a MOURNING WARBLER at
Flager SWA on September 14.  A juv YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER was reported
by Walbek at Flager SWA on September 15.

LA PLATA COUNTY:
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Morris at the Durango Fish Hatchery on
September 14 and 15.

LINCOLN COUNTY:
--A SMITH'S LONGSPUR was reported by Dan Maynard on CR 30 between 3R and 3T
on September 13.

MESA COUNTY:
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Watson by a pond in Horsethief Canyon west
of Fruita on September 14.

MONTROSE COUNTY:
--A Black-throated Gray Warbler was reported by Dexter in Nucla on
September 12.

--MOFFAT COUNTY:
--A m Chestnut-sided Warbler and 3 Nashville Warblers were reported by Luke
at Loudy-Simpson Park in Craig on September 11.
--A pair of Northern Waterthrush was reported by Litteral at Loudy-Simpson
Park in Craig on September 12.
--A Northern Waterthrush and 2 Nashville Warblers were reported by Luke at
Loudy-Simpon Park on September 13.
--A juv Sabine's Gull was reported by Luke at the CMS ponds in Craig on
September 14.

MORGAN COUNTY:
--At Jackson Lake SP on September 13,  Mlodinow reported 2 BUFF-BREASTED
SANDPIPERS, a juv American Golden-Plover, and 2 Sabine's Gulls.

OURAY COUNTY:
--Northern Waterthrush were banded by Rowse at the RMBO Ridgway SP banding
station on September 9 and September 12.

PROWERS COUNTY:
--At Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar, Leatherman reported 3 Great Crested
Flycatchers on September 13.
--A BLUE-HEADED VIREO was reported by Leatherman at Lamar Community College
Wood (LCCW) on September 12.
--On September 13, Leatherman reported the following at LCCW:  non-breeding
m SCARLET TANAGER, imm f Chestnut-sided Warbler, Nashville Warbler, f
Black-and-white Warbler, Northern Waterthrush, 3+ Northern Cardinal
--On September 15, Leatherman reported the following at LCCW:  BLUE-HEADED
VIREO (north end), 2 Nashville Warblers, Tennessee Warbler, f Summer
Tanager, 2 Northern Cardinals, and f RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD.
--On September 15 at LCCW Dowell reported:  4 Nashville Warblers, Tennessee
Warbler, 2 Northern Waterthrush, 4 Northern Cardinals, 2 Great Crested
Flycatchers, 2 Red-bellied Woodpeckers.
--On September 16 at LCCW Leatherman reported:  1 f CANADA WARBLER, 2+
BLUE-HEADED VIREOS, Northern Waterthrush, 1 f Black-throated Blue Warbler,
2+ Nashville Warblers, 2f Black-and-white Warblers, Black-throated Green
Warbler, probable YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER, and heard Northern Cardinal
and Red-bellied Woodpecker.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
--In Colorado City on September 11, Percival reported a green plumaged
PAINTED BUNTING, f SCARLET TANAGER, and 2 Northern Waterthrush.
--A basic plumaged LAUGHING GULL was reported by Percival at the Sailboard
Launching Area of Pueblo Reservoir on September 14.
--2 Eastern Phoebes were reported by Percival between the Fish Hatchery
Ponds and Valco Ponds parking lot on September 14.
--2 Black Phoebes were reported by Percival on the Rock Canyon Side of the
river in Osprey Picnic Area at Pueblo Reservoir on September 16.

WASHINGTON COUNTY:
--A PHILADELPHIA VIREO was reported by Mlodinow at the Inlet Canal at
Prewitt on September 10.
--A BLUE-HEADED VIREO was reported by Kibbe at Last Chance on September 14.

YUMA COUNTY:
--At Wray City Park on September 14, Dan Maynard reported Black-and-white
Warbler.
--At Stalker Pond on September 14, Dan Maynard reported Red-bellied
Woodpecker, YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER, 2 Great Crested Flycatchers,
BLUE-HEADED VIREO, 2 Nashville Warblers, 2 Northern Cardinals and Indigo
Bunting.
--3 Eastern Phoebes were reported by Dan Maynard at the Fish Hatchery on
September 14.
--At Sandsage SWA on September 14, Dan Maynard reported EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE
and Nashville Warbler.
--At Hale Hedgerows (below Bonny) on September 14, Dan Maynard reported
Great Crested Flycatcher, imm MOURNING WARBLER, and Nashville Warbler.
--At Hale Corner, Dan Maynard reported on September 14 Red-bellied
Woodpecker, YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER, 2 Great Crested Flycatchers,
Nashville Warbler, 3 Ovenbirds, and 2 MOURNING WARBLERS (1 ad m, 1 imm)

DFO Field Trips:
The DFO Field Trip for Thursday, September 19 to Rocky Mountain National
Park has been CANCELLED.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, September 21 to Rocky Mountain Arsenal has
been CANCELLED but there
is another one scheduled for October.  Contact Dave Rhoades (303-424-8633)
to sign up for the October
 Field Trip.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, September 21 to Barr Lake State Park will
be led by Ira and Tammy Sanders (303-278-7172).  Meet at 07000 a the Stone
House at the end of Lark Bunting Lane.  Bird until noon.  Lunch optional.
 This will be easy walking on established trails.  State Parks Pass
required.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, September 22 will be to Lair o' the Bear led
by Lois Levison (303-908-3403).  Meet at 0800 at the parking lot.  Half-day
trip, lunch optional  Foothill species, late migrant passerines and raptors
possible. Bring water, snacks, dress for weather.
