[cobirds] Genesee Park - Jefferson County

2013-03-31 Thread JBreitsch - Denver
Nothing unusual to report from here. The typical species were around:
Nuthatches, Mountain Chickadee, Townsend's Solitaire, Western Bluebirds,
and at least one Williamson's Sapsucker. There may have been as many as
three or four. I just couldn't be sure if I was seeing multiples or if I
was just chasing the same bird around.

[cobirds] Genesee Park, Jefferson County, 3-toed Woodpecker

2010-08-06 Thread James
Yesterday, Thursday, I spent about two hours at Genesee Park,
Jefferson County. While looking for Williamson's Sapsucker, I came
across an American Three-toed Woodpecker near the second pole leading
away from the picnic shelter. At the top of the park (flagpole area)
I found one female Williamson's.

[cobirds] Genesee Park, Jefferson County CO, DFO Trip July 3 2016 by Kathanne Lynch

2016-07-04 Thread K L

The DFO field trip yesterday at Genesee Park yielded 32 species for 12
participants. Detailed notes and photos were entered into eBird for
breeding bird data.

The high-count species was the Red Crossbill (AND they were the dominant
bird sound in the field). Below are our bird checklists, including a list
made just after the trip that includes nesting/feeding Williamson’s
Sapsuckers in the "Kingery's Kondo" condominium/apartment Ponderosa Pine
nesting tree. Thanks to Gregg Goodrich for keeping track in the field.
