Since we are right smack in the middle of migration, and this is Spring
Count weekend, I decided to be completely different and go to the foothills
and see which breeders had returned. I ended up with 41 species. A
partial list includes, Dusky Grouse, Wild Turkey, Common Poorwill, Canyon
Wren, Evening Grosbeak, Black-headed Grosbeak, Western Tanager, Spotted and
Green-tailed Towhees, Virginia's Warbler, and some Yellow-rumped Warblers.
I walked the Tower Trail and came back on the Parmalee Trail. DFO trip
along the same route next week.
