Hello, Birders.
Kei, Hannah, Andrew, and I made a very quick pass by Union Reservoir, Weld County, late yesterday afternoon, Saturday, September 3rd. The water is still high (shorebirds, blah), but the lake has many, many birds. We saw 2 COMMON TERNS out there, uncommon but regular in eastern Colorado at this time of the year. My ornithological sixth sense, which is fallible, tells me that something "good" is out there. In other words, it might be worth checking out Union Rez at some point during the remainder of this Labor Day weekend. Earlier in the day, by the way, we had a nice visit to the Cheyenne area, Laramie County, Wyoming. Just as Union Rez is honorary Boulder County, so Laramie County is honorary Colorado. Here's our trip report, if anybody's interested, for yesterday's excursion to Laramie County: http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/WYOB.html#1315122049 ------------------------------- Ted Floyd Editor, BirdingĀ Please check out the website of the ABA: http://tinyurl.com/6kmbfvx And please check out The ABA Blog: http://tinyurl.com/4n6qswt We're on twitter, too: http://tinyurl.com/2ejzlzv ------------------------------- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
