Many thanks! Really I should look at that method, but I looked at the notification center, which has minimum of methods. Don't know why but I decided that this aspect should be taken into account when an observer is added. Now it's obvious for me, that I should look at the notification generator too.
NSTask termination is caught without any problems. The problem was just in reading from pipe.
