RE: JPEG/PNG IN IE???

2003-02-25 Thread Chance, Sam USA
Good news! I originally saved the svg file with an "xml" extension. I renamed it
with the "svg" extension and it works! But the problem now is that the picture is
"cut off" In Spy, it shows the entire svg, but not in ANY browser.

Ideas?

OK - what does your sitemap look like i.t.o. the
pipeline related to the SVG? Also, you can try
and display the SVG via an tag embedded
in an HTML page... I have never tried with "pure"
SVG and I know IE is sometimes very sticky about
displaying non-HTML files (eg. to get a PDF output
to work I had to use a .pdf extension in the URI?!)

Thank you for the reply!

I have an application that generates SVG files (well-formed XML). I am trying
to pass the "pure" SVG file to the Cocoon svg2jpeg (or svg2png) serializer and on to
the client (IE). I'm using IE ver 6.0 w/ SP1.

Are you trying to deliver "pure" SVG or are you
embedding it is an object in HTML page (and, if
so, how) - also, what version of IE are you using?

Ok...I'm trying to get cocoon to deliver (serialize) and (SVG) XML
document. It works okay in Netscape and Amaya (except the sides are
"cut off". But in IE (6.0) I just get a white screen with the little
"x" in the corner...

I checked the archives but didn't see the same problem...Any Ideas?
...please...

Thank you,

Great! I think what is happening tome is that because I am behind a
firewall, I can't connect to the CVS server, so I download the snapshots
which lag...

Anyone know how to get around the firewall problem in order to connect
to CVS server?

I think this problem has been taken care of (quoting from cocoon-dev):

RE: HOW DO I BUILD THE WAR FILE?

2003-02-23 Thread Chance, Sam USA
Roger all...except deploying Cocoon on a AN/UYK-44! :-)

Actually, I've become somewhat proficient at building Cocoon using the
varios build options...school of hard knocks and a lot of reading
archives and the cocoon web pages on-line...As a matter of fact, as a
doublecheck, I downloaded a slightly older snapshot that does not
incorporate the new build system and it built and deployed with no
problems...

But the new build system is another learning curve for me. I am able
now to get a war file created, but Tomcat returns an error and complains
about mixed content in the cocoon.xconf file. I sent a similar reply
on the Cocoon-dev list as I got a reply there, but I will confine these
type questions to the users group as you indicated.

Any ideas on the cocoon.xconf error?

Thank you for your reply!
Sam

On my system (Win2000) I built the war with the usual:

.\build.bat -Dinclude.webapp.libs=yes webapp

and then deployed the resulting war without any problem. Are you
experiencing troubles with this build target ?

That said, a couple of things:

1) Could you please direct these kind of questions to cocoon-users only
? The dev list has been set up for other purposes.
2) Next time, please, use plain text messages, not HTML

Are you planning to port Cocoon on a AN/UYK-44 ? It will make a nice
replacement for the current software... possibly a little
slower though :)

HOW DO I BUILD THE WAR FILE?

someone please tell me how to build Cocoon2.1 to include the war file? …please?

XMLForm Wizard Howto HELP...please...

2003-02-05 Thread Chance, Sam USA
I'm trying to get the XMLForm how to wizard to work. I'm a little
unclear about where I am supposed to place the various xml files.

At the beginning it says to create a folder "src\webapp\sample\xmlform"
so I created it as "xml-cocoon-2.1-dev\src\webapp\sample\xmlform".

Then it says to copy and save the start xml file under
"src\webapp\mount\xmlform\howto", so I created
"xml-cocoon-2.1-dev\src\webapp\mount\xmlform\howto and placed all the
xml files in there.

The it says to copy the "howto-xmlform-sch-report.xml," and place it in
the folder src\scratchpad\webapp\samples\xmlform\howto\schematron, so I
put it in
"xml-cocoon-2.1-dev\src\scratchpad\webapp\samples\xmlform\howto\schematr
on.

Is all this correct?

Thankyou...newbie named Sam
