Re: Proxy Redirect and sunshine module authentication

2003-05-27 Thread Rajasekhar Atchutuni
Hello all,

We have a web site and it is redirected by Apache using mod proxy which
works fine.
   ProxyPass /mysite/ http://webserver.com:8080/cocoon/mysite/
   ProxyPassReverse /mysite/ http://webserver:8080/cocoon/mysite/

But under mysite we have another module which uses the sunshine
autentication.
so when I go to http://webserver/mysite/administration, I am able to log in
but when I click on any link it logs me out and in the URL it gives me this
address
http://webserver.com/mysite/admin-login.xml?resource=%2Fcocoon%2Fmysite%2Fadmin-viewPersonsFrame.xml
But when I go to the site using
http://webserver.com:8080/cocoon/mysite/admin-login.xml. I am able to log in
and click on all the links.
I am not sure why the %2Fcocoon is still being passed by the session.

I am at sea, can someone guide me with this.

Help appreciated.

Thanks
Raj

Chart transformer

2003-03-13 Thread Rajasekhar Atchutuni
Hi,

I have been using the Charttransformer happily so far on Tomcat, jdk 1.4,
cocoon 2.04. Now I am trying to run it on Linux, IBM Websphere 4, JDK 1.3,
Cocoon 2.04.

Not only is the graph not generated, but even the xml for the graph is not
being generated. I get this error instead:

XML document must have a top level element. Error processing resource

The identical resource works fine in tomcat. Also, I recompiled all the
jfreechart classes using IBM Jdk. But no use.

Highly appreciate help.

Thanks
Raj

Cocoon 2.0.4 Help

2003-03-11 Thread Rajasekhar Atchutuni
Hi,

I have installed cocoon 2.0.4 on WebSphere. When I click on documetation
link it looking for an URI cocoon/dcocoon/documents/index.html.

Also I have a coocoon application newtest and when I go to the URI
http://localhost/cocoon/newtest/ -- it goes to an URI
/cocoon/ncocoon/newtest.

I have no idea why its appending the first letter of the application and
then cocoon. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Cocoon installation help!!

2003-03-10 Thread Rajasekhar Atchutuni
Hi,

I am trying to install cocoon.war (2.0.4) in WebSphere 4.0.5 on redhat linux
7.2 Server. I get the welcome page able to see most of the pages except the
documentation page on the cocoon welcome page. The error is "The requested
URI "/cocoon/dcocoon/documents/index.html" was not found.

Obviously the URI is wrong, if I remove dcocoon it works fine. I have an
application in cocoon which is under the directory newtest and when I try to
go to that the path is "/cocoon/ncocoon/", its adding the first letter and
then cocoon to it in the URI. Any one got this kind of error. Any help
will be appreciated.
If I am able to go thru the pages when I correct the URI.

Thanks
Raj

Authentication Framework using LDAP (thru xsp)

2003-03-03 Thread Rajasekhar Atchutuni
Hi,

I am trying to use the sunrise actions for my authentication but unable to
pass parameters to my xsp.
My problems:
1. My authentication fails even though I supply the correct username and
password. The fail.xsp is being generated.
2. The reason is the parameters.getParameter is not fetching any values - I
believe they are getting lost. If I print the parameters the values are
null.
3. I have read in the list that even though you can't pass sitemap
parameters to a file generator (xsp) you can use request-parameters.
4. I was wondering if I moved the authentication resource to the subsitemap,
would the parameters get preserved? But I don't know how to refer to a
subsitemap pipeline from the main sitemap.
 - what should this be?

This is my cocoon sitemap:

   http://apache.org/cocoon/sitemap/1.0";
xmlns:sunshine="http://sunshine.sundn.de/sunshine/1.0";>

*

---
This is my app sitemap (subsitemap):

--
login.xsp

  user

... resource specific data for the user

---

Any help really appreciated.
Thanks
Raj

Hi,

I am trying to generate a bar graph and having problems. If I have values
hard-coded into the xml it generates fine, but am not able to get values
dynamically and pass them.

I am getting the values from database using esql queries and want to create
graphs. Any help on how to do this.

Help much appreciated.

Luca,

Great work! Should be very useful in a lot of applications. I was thinking I
could use it to present a report of a database in a project I'm working on.

Redirect-to uri

2003-01-22 Thread Rajasekhar Atchutuni
Hi all,
I am trying the redirect-to in the sitemap and I have some trouble here.
Site map:

And the code in the action is:
project            insert into mydb (ID,Date) values (null, sysdate)

If I have map:redirect in the , the data is not inserted into the table and it redirects to main.xml.  If I have it outside , it gives "FATAL -- LANGUAGE EXCEPTION".  Can some one guide me here

Thanks
Raj

Re: XSP Redirection HELP!!!

2003-01-20 Thread Rajasekhar Atchutuni
Hi,

I am sorry I framed my question wrong.

I am already successfully saving my form data to oracle using esql:query in
my xsp page.

What I need to know is how I can send/redirect the user to the home page,
after I close the esql:connection.

Thanks
Raj

Hi:

I understand that you generate a request that use the XSP Generator.
(Please, dont get me wrong here. I am just trying to explain what I
understanded from your mail). If this is true

You can change the pipeline to make the update to the SQL database using
Database Actions (there are two flavors) and after sucessfull update, you
redirect the page where you need it.

Any Action is executed inmediately as they are readed from the sitemap.
Please read between lines:

"before the selected pipeline is executed".

For more info about Database Actions see:

http://wiki.cocoondev.org/Wiki.jsp?page=DatabaseActions

By the way, If you can, update to 2.0.4 that is more stable...

Note: I dont know if Modular Database Actions works in 2.03 I think no,
but check for some examples if this flavor of DB Actions are included or
not. Original Database Actions are fine too.

I hope It will helps you.

Best Regards,

Antonio Gallardo.
