While Noll Historical Consulting has provided services as diverse as researching World War II bombing raids, archiving the correspondence of leading US physicists, and lecturing at the Smithsonian on Edwardian England, it specializes in the study of the world of US Government finance and monetary development. Noll Historical Consulting has a long term relationship with the US Bureau of Engraving and Printing, running its history program, supporting the efforts of the Office of External Relations, providing historical insight to management, and researching and maintaining the Bureau's vast collection of bank notes, Treasury securities, stamps, and other items. Noll Historical Consulting has also worked with the Treasury, the Bureau of the Public Debt, and other Treasury agencies, helping them to use their history to meet their immediate needs and to plan for the future. A new position with a private consulting firm is available in the historic collections of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), Department of the Treasury. The collections of the BEP consist of original artwork, photographs, designs, engravings, and manuscript material produced at the BEP in conjunction with the design and production of stamps, currency, bonds, certificates, and other miscellaneous items from the Civil War to the present. Job Description: Full-time position to oversee a two-year, NHPRC grant-funded project to process and describe, on a basic folder-level, CSPG's entire collection of over 80,000 social movement posters, create an online collection finding aid, catalogue on the item-level CSPG's complete collection of Vietnam War Era posters, and give access to item-level catalogue records through an online searchable interface. This person will possess experience in information sciences and project management, preferably in the healthcare field. **Responsibilities:** * Provide expertise and leadership in developing metadata services for extensive health content. * Develop and plan project roadmaps to ensure timely delivery of content; including allocating/requisitioning resources. * Ensure that content passes rigorous quality assurance metrics and is developed in accordance with the project plan and to the highest standard. * Manage a cohort of freelancers and utilize crowd-sourcing websites for content creation and quality assurance. * Manage projects through development to final product, and serve as liaison with production, technology and product management. * Contribute best practices in content design and project management. **Qualifications:** * Graduate degree in library or information science is preferred; or the completion of significant coursework toward the degree. * Bachelor's degree is required. * Exceptional command of the English language. * Knowledge and experience with metadata and cataloging standards. * Experience searching evidence-based medicine resources, including medical/health databases: PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane etc. * Experience in healthcare and health sciences preferred. * Experience managing stable of on- and off-site content creators. * Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills. * Strong interest in and sensitivity to language, cultural issues, and/or immigrant rights. * Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced dynamic environment; proven ability to execute through the entire project lifecycle. * Demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Start-up mentality is required; must be willing to dive into the details of a project as needed, handle multiple priorities in tandem, remain cool under pressure, and gracefully cope with shifting priorities. **Compensation** This is a part-time, contract position with the possibility of becoming full- time. Responsibilities: Initiate, maintain, and support all digital systems for the Krannert Memorial Library. Maintain working relationships with library consortia and participate in decision-making for technology system purchases, changes, and upgrades.
