Re: [CODE4LIB] c4l Stickers

2014-07-08 Thread Chris Markman
Coincidentally, I just purchased 1000 bumper stickers over @ psprint.com
for a personal project and thought I'd mention they're running a 60% off
promotion 'til July 15th. That discount got the price down to about $0.30
per sticker which is the cheapest I've found anywhere online. Also, not
sure if you've looked at Zazzle.com but they do print-on-demand which might
be easier to coordinate.

 Hi Riley,

Is the design the code 4 Lib logo, or is it something else? How big are the
 stickers? Thanks!

Re: [CODE4LIB] Do you ever write code? I want to interview you!

2014-07-08 Thread Chris Markman
Hi Andromeda,

I'm just going to throw this idea out there but I think it would be really
cool if in the process of writing this you could convince each contributor
to corral their small self-made apps/scripts into a single BitTorrent Sync
folder :) My dream is to one day do the same for MarcEdit task automation
but your project sounds like an even better use!

Best,

Chris

No, you need not have developer in your title (in fact, the more diverse
job roles I can get among the respondents, the better). Your code can be
little gems of perfection or grotesquely hackish; I like it either way.

Thanks in advance; obligatory apologies for cross-posting.

I saw a project at the Hacking Journalism hackathon @ MIT recently that
would get the job done:

They were thinking more along the lines of a crowdsource solution for
science news but I'm sure it could adapted to fit your needs!

Speaking of the code4lib t-shirt: I did not make it to the conference this
year but if someone could send me a photo (or group photo!) of them wearing
the design I made that would be awesome :) Doesn't have to be with a fancy
camera or anything, just a quick pic to go on my website. Thanks!
