   @mvolf thank for the contribution.
   This Validator on backend and and yup on frontend with dosens lines of code
just to simply check if file is already exists.
   Look like an overkill. Should it be that complex?

(camel-website-pub) branch asf-site updated (294f6ded9 -> 9dfb44e77)

2024-01-26 Thread git-site-role
This is an automated email from the ASF dual-hosted git repository.

git-site-role pushed a change to branch asf-site
in repository https://gitbox.apache.org/repos/asf/camel-website-pub.git

 new 9dfb44e77 Website updated to 79cca1d6d766af2f295f4449d033602f0ef97742

This update added new revisions after undoing existing revisions.
That is to say, some revisions that were in the old version of the
branch are not in the new version. This situation occurs
when a user --force pushes a change and generates a repository
containing something like this:

 * -- * -- B -- O -- O -- O   (294f6ded9)
\
 N -- N -- N   refs/heads/asf-site (9dfb44e77)

You should already have received notification emails for all of the O
revisions, and so the following emails describe only the N revisions
from the common base, B.

Any revisions marked "omit" are not gone; other references still
refer to them. Any revisions marked "discard" are gone forever.

The 2 revisions listed above as "new" are entirely new to this
repository and will be described in separate emails. The revisions
listed as "add" were already present in the repository and have only
been added to this reference.

Re: [I] Quartz builds failing to start when using native builds [camel-k]

2024-01-26 Thread via GitHub

gansheer commented on issue #5088:
URL: https://github.com/apache/camel-k/issues/5088#issuecomment-1912384954

   The mechanism used is the following:
   - camel-k identifies if the integration start with a timer, cron or quartz
component and creates a cronjob if the cron expression is valid. This is the
part that works in both JVM and native modes.
   - camel-k-runtime replace at runtime the original timer, cron or quartz
component expression in the source by the following one
`timer:camel-k-cron-override?delay=0=1=1`. That's where it
fails in native mode. This replacement needs the source file available at
runtime, which can not be possible with native build since it is integrated at
build and is part of the executable.

   A refactoring is in progress to remove the camel-k-runtime dependency
(#4024), and the cron trait part it contains will be adapted.

   For now if you need to have the native version working I suggest to manually
do the change directly in the integration:
   ```
   ...
 sources:
 - name: main.groovy
   content: |-
 from("timer:camel-k-cron-override?delay=0=1=1")
 .to("direct:start")
 from("direct:start")
   .to("https://httpbin.org/delay/2?bridgeEndpoint=true;)
   .to("log:info")
 traits:
   cron:
 enabled: true
 schedule: "* * * * ?"
 components: ""
   ...
   ```

   This should give you the same result for JVM and native builds.

   I found there was a duplicated `advancedPsk` URL param trailing at the end
of the test route, which resolves another one of the errors.

   So now I'm down to two, which seem to be the same:

   ```
+
+Introducing Kaoto 2.0 (Tech Preview) - A New Chapter for the Kaoto Project
+We are thrilled to announce the first tech preview release of Kaoto 2.0,
marking a significant milestone in the evolution of the Kaoto project.
+
+Kaoto is a no-code / low-code editor for Apache Camel integrations, which lets
you create and edit your routes in a graphical way.
+
+## Highlights
+A lot of effort has been put into bringing the Kaoto project closer to Apache
Camel. We are now directly leveraging the Camel models and schemas to provide
all the features Apache Camel is offering also in the Kaoto designer.
+
+On top of that, we were busy adding a host of new features and usability
improvements that promise to elevate your development experience. Here's a
glimpse of what you can expect:
+
+### New Catalog UI
+Explore a brand-new catalog that provides comprehensive information about
component and processor descriptions and parameters. Use the filter and search
functionality to easily find what you are looking for.
+![Kaoto Catalog](catalog.gif)
+
+### Expression Definition Support
+Kaoto now provides an enhanced expression definition support, making it easier
to define and manage expressions within your Camel routes. We support all
languages which are part of Apache Camel.
+![Expression Definition support](expressionDefinition.gif)
+
+### Dataformat Support
+Handle data with ease using our improved data format support. Kaoto now offers
a seamless experience when working with different data formats. We support all
data formats included in Apache Camel.
+![Dataformats support](dataformats.gif)
+
+### Beans support
+We've introduced support for adding Beans directly from the Canvas
Configuration Form, simplifying the process of configuring your Camel routes.
The Beans page will offer you full control over all defined beans in one place.
+![Beans support](beans.gif)
+
+### Fresh Icons
+Check out the new set of icons which will help you to understand your
integration better without looking at the details.
+
+### Dynamic Labels
+Experience dynamic labels for nodes, improving clarity and making it easier to
understand and manage complex route structures. You can provide descriptions
for your steps which will then show as the labels on the canvas.
+
+### “setHeaders” Processor
+We added support for the new [`setHeaders`
processor](/components/next/eips/setHeaders-eip.html), enhancing your ability
to add multiple headers
   yeah that is fine, the beanio will be there tomorrow when CI has published a
new snapshot to the maven repo.
   @mgubaidullin Here's an implementation for validating file existence on
project file import/upload. I've also propagated the same validation on file
creation, so it's uniform and both uses the generic validator previously
implemented.
   There also a small fix in getPersonIdent method to use default e-mail
address if it's not defined in UserInfo.
   Also fixed a couple of quarkus quinoa properties, because quinoa was not
working after the version upgrade.
   Everything under `docs` is generated. You need to edit the source in the
`jasypt`extension module here:
   ```
   extensions/jasypt/runtime/src/main/doc/usage.adoc
   ```
   Then run the build in that module (E.g `mvn clean install`) and it'll sync
and assemble the final content over to `docs`.
claudio4j commented on PR #5090:
URL: https://github.com/apache/camel-k/pull/5090#issuecomment-1912194307
   understanding how camel-main works, we can see the
`camel.main.routesIncludePattern` parameter replaces one of key parts of
camel-k-runtime which is the ability to dynamically load the routes. My
perception is this feature was not mature in camel-core at that time and
camel-k-runtime was created to support this feature.
   So, I think this is good, to materialize a camel-quarkus project. Also,
there is no need anymore to the [camel-k extension in
camel-quarkus](https://github.com/apache/camel-quarkus/tree/main/extensions/camel-k).
 traits:
   mount:
 resources:
 - configmap:myconfigmap
   ```
   Create that Integration in the cluster, which will not start because the
configmap is not there yet.

   After the integration is created, query its uid:
   ```
   k get it myintegration -oyaml | grep uid
 uid: abc42efa-87a8-43ec-b412-183bb1539cd6
   ```
   Now create the config map using that uid in the ownersReferences:

   ```
   apiVersion: v1
   data:
 foo: "1"
 bar: "2"
   kind: ConfigMap
   metadata:
 name: myconfigmap
 ownerReferences:
 - apiVersion: camel.apache.org/v1
   blockOwnerDeletion: true
   controller: true
   kind: Integration
   name: myintegration
   uid: abc42efa-87a8-43ec-b412-183bb1539cd6
   ```

   Result: the Integration will not build. It wil stay in a loop between the
statuses "Building Kit" and "Initialization".
   The operator log shows constant messages about the Integration being rebuilt.

   And integration digest in its status keeps changing.

+
+Introducing Kaoto 2.0 (Tech Preview) - A New Chapter for the Kaoto Project
+We are thrilled to announce the first tech preview release of Kaoto 2.0,
marking a significant milestone in the evolution of the Kaoto project.
+
+Kaoto is a no-code / low-code editor for Apache Camel integrations, which lets
you create and edit your routes in a graphical way.
+
+## Highlights
+A lot of effort has been put into bringing the Kaoto project closer to Apache
Camel. We are now directly leveraging the Camel models and schemas to provide
all the features Apache Camel is offering also in the Kaoto designer.
+
+On top of that, we were busy adding a host of new features and usability
improvements that promise to elevate your development experience. Here's a
glimpse of what you can expect:
+
+### New Catalog UI
+Explore a brand-new catalog that provides comprehensive information about
component and processor descriptions and parameters. Use the filter and search
functionality to easily find what you are looking for.
+![Kaoto Catalog](catalog.gif)
+
+### Expression Definition Support
+Kaoto now provides an enhanced expression definition support, making it easier
to define and manage expressions within your Camel routes. We support all
languages which are part of Apache Camel.
+![Expression Definition support](expressionDefinition.gif)
+
+### Dataformat Support
+Handle data with ease using our improved data format support. Kaoto now offers
a seamless experience when working with different data formats. We support all
data formats included in Apache Camel.
+![Dataformats support](dataformats.gif)
+
+### Beans support
+We've introduced support for adding Beans directly from the Canvas
Configuration Form, simplifying the process of configuring your Camel routes.
The Beans page will offer you full control over all defined beans in one place.
+![Beans support](beans.gif)
+
+### Fresh Icons
+Check out the new set of icons which will help you to understand your
integration better without looking at the details.
+
+### Dynamic Labels
+Experience dynamic labels for nodes, improving clarity and making it easier to
understand and manage complex route structures. You can provide descriptions
for your steps which will then show as the labels on the canvas.
+
+### “setHeaders” Processor
+We added support for the new [`setHeaders`
processor](https://camel.apache.org/components/next/eips/setHeaders-eip.html),
enhancing your ability to add multiple headers effortlessly.
+
+### Copy Routes to Clipboard
+Take advantage of the "Copy Route to Clipboard" feature, perfect for
leveraging the [JBang run from clipboard
functionality](https://camel.apache.org/manual/camel-jbang.html#_run_from_clipboard).

   We can't. We don't know ahead of time which is the container/version the
operator is running. With this design, we read it at runtime and make sure that
it is always the same for which the operator is running.

Review Comment:
   That's the point. The local execution should not allow to run a pipeline but
only execute the code that can find "locally". It's because the local operator
is running a given binary (typically built from source), whilst the builder
would be run in the Pod with potentially a different software (as it is
packaged in a container from somewhere else). I think it's wise to keep this
design as it to avoid consistency problems.

   I went a little deeper in the whole usage of the kubeconfig file and we
would need to revise the way it is handled. Some shortcuts were taken an do not
exactly follow the kubernetes way to implement a client.

   Given that there is a migration planned, we can drop this PR as the
workaround is not that difficult (was more a quality of life issue).
