bq. I was about to make the last push and I noticed this jenkins docs huge
commit . Is this fine? It merged after my commit

Yes. That's the generation (build) of the full website (everything built goes
under {{content/}})

bq. I didn't find any other previous Jenkins commits in the history, so
double-checking.

That's correct. After each CI/CD build, asf-staging is reset to trunk and then
this "generated" commit added. That way we can see precisely which SHA has been
built and deployed to both staging and prod.

bq. Michael Semb Wever that I did but I wasn't sure about the staging and
commit part after that as you mentioned before there are some steps you still
work on if I am not mistaken.

If you followed those steps to test, then merge to trunk.
[ci-cassandra.apache.org|https://ci-cassandra.apache.org/job/cassandra-website/]
 will then automatically (CD) it to https://cassandra.staged.apache.org .

Once you have verified it (and all new changes) on cassandra.staged.apache.org
then do
{code}
git fetch origin
git switch asf-site
git reset --hard origin/asf-staging
git push -f origin asf-site
{code}
as described
[here|https://github.com/apache/cassandra-website#merging-asf-staging-to-asf-site].

Exactly, as far as I know we don't add all versions when we commit to dtest or
anywhere else where the change will affect by default all versions.
{quote}Are my eyes fooling me or is {{-e}} missing in the given example?
{quote}
Check again :D This mistake proved exactly what I said we need to skip - having
to update at more than one place. So what happened - I had the wrong (without
-e) example in the ticket description, I used it in the commit and then noticed
I have to correct the ticket but forgot I copy-pasted that line in the commit.

bq. Also fix versions will be 2.2 -> trunk right?

I decided to add one sentence instruction in requirements.txt and just refer to
the instruction in two other places. So now we need to update only one place in
case of changes in the current setup.

CC [~Anthony Grasso], [~mck]  as I am not sure what are the steps to stage now
for review the changes to the website. I saw the run.sh script but I wasn't
completely sure which options I should be using. Please advise.

I'd parked the "-f option for verify" ticket because I lost interest in testing
a custom ccm branch in circle; was janky and annoying enough, and that patch
orthogonal enough to most things changing in the codebase, I figured I'd sit on
it for a bit. Then this ticket came along - happy little accidents!
