The editor does not display the space and tab, but the space and tab characters are present in the file. The editor / code formatting does not appear to be functioning correctly here. UPDATE: In the tab "Fonts & Colors" in the "Syntax" subtab I had the "default" font set to "Monospaced 16". The issue occurs when using this font size. When I change it back to the default value "Monospaced 13" or "Monospaced 18" it works just fine. After some more testing I found out that with the font set to "Monospaced 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19 & 20" it does not work (didn't test higher or lower values).
