I think on mobile the issue that "ui-dialog-titlebar" is draggable. And it
makes the entire title bar not able to send touch events to the button as the
button is inside the titlebar.

If you add

*, draggable: false*

to the dialog
{code:java}
sharer = $('#sharer').dialog({

'ui-dialog': 'sharer'
, 'ui-dialog-titlebar': ''
}
, draggable: false
, width: 450

It works.

Sebastian Wagner commented on OPENMEETINGS-2253:

[~jbi] I tend to disagree.

Mostly in "classroom" style sessions:
 * Most student would probably mostly rather just share audio-only on occasion
to say something
 * Most teachers would probably prefer to see the student while talking

Most conference room style sessions:
 * Most people still rather prefer audio only. To save bandwidth and also
because its irritating for a lot of people to have the video turned on all the
time

So most audio/video conferencing applications (Teams, Zoom, Facebook, Skype)
deliberately do not share audio/video with same button and by default.
Participants can choose what they want to share on demand. Usually before you
enter the room.

Its quite embarrassing to enter a conference room with 100+ people watching and
out of sudden they all see you in an inappropriate way cause audio/video is
turned on without you knowing.

I think OpenMeetings gives plenty of options for all those scenarios. I don't
really see the need for modifying the UI and behaviour to have mic and audio
enabled in single click.

However maybe some pre-screen in the video conferencing mode would be good to
confirm your settings. Before you enter. Which seems to be the way most
conference apps work now.

[jira] [Created] (OPENMEETINGS-2338) Can't restart sharing if starting to share and then leave and re-enter the room

2020-05-01 Thread Sebastian Wagner (Jira)

 Summary: Can't restart sharing if starting to share and then leave
and re-enter the room
 Key: OPENMEETINGS-2338
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENMEETINGS-2338
 Project: Openmeetings
  Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 5.0.0-M4
Reporter: Sebastian Wagner
Assignee: Sebastian Wagner
 Fix For: 5.0.0-M5

If you:
 * Enter conf room, start sharing
 * Exit the room (sharing will be automatically stopped if exit the room)
 * Re-enter the room, open dialog, shows "Start sharing" press it => Nothing
happens

You can see in the JS console that even pressing "start sharing" the action
executed is:

[WebSocket.send] Sending: \{"type":"kurento","id":"pauseSharing","uid":""}

I think Javascript remembers last sharer settings when leaving and re-entering
the room

There is a strange issue in some of the Javascript if you enter via the
invitation Hash/link.

The button to close the modal is missing the close icon.

The close button on the top right of the ui dialog. Seems like a jQuery issue.

Not sure if it has anything to do with CSP headers. But those warnings seem
only CSS errors. No JS, and below looks like different HTML is generated by
jQuery.

When inspecting the HTML it actually generates different HTML in the UI if you
enter via invitation link:
{code:java}

{code}

I seen a similar behaviour. Had not chance yet to test stable, but yeah seems
to start/stop/restart Kurento while OpenMeetings can lead to some exceptions.

And sometimes needed to recover by restarting OM.

> If OM was started after Kurento Media Server then all is well and dandy. But

[jira] [Commented] (OPENMEETINGS-2327) Error while opening encoder for output stream #0:0

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENMEETINGS-2327?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17097591#comment-17097591
 ]

Konstantin Kuzov commented on OPENMEETINGS-2327:

That's the limitation of libx264 encoder. It requires:

 - YUV 4:2:0 - both height and width divisible by 2

 - YUV 4:2:2 - only width divisible by 2

 - YUV 4:4:4 - without limitations

So if both x264 and pix_fmt yuv420p are required then both output height and
width indeed must be rounded up to even numbers..

As for weird resolutions in general that's a pretty common problem. For example
old mediatek hardware encoders cannot output anything not divisible by 16, so
1920x1080 always becomes 1920x1088 there.

Also I've seen plenty of files with just broken metadata and at the same time
with good video stream resolution.

[jira] [Commented] (OPENMEETINGS-2332) Room exit always redirects to public room list

Konstantin Kuzov commented on OPENMEETINGS-2332:

In our case we are rarely using any public rooms at all. And it's just a bit
inconvenient to jump through hoops of changing to different room list every
time you need to move to another private room and that room is not already in
dropdown menu.

Is there any reasoning behind this design decision and against moving user to
room list associated with the room from which user exit?

> If OM was started after Kurento Media Server then all is well and dandy. But
> if KMS was started after OM or was restarted for some reason later (for
> example due to update or crash) then OM will never recover from that and
> currently require full OM restart.
> There should be some auto-recovery mechanism in place which will continuously

>Priority: Major
>
> If OM was started after Kurento Media Server then all is well and dandy. But
> if KMS was started after OM or was restarted for some reason later (for
> example due to update or crash) then OM will never recover from that and
> currently require full OM restart.
> There should be some auto-recovery mechanism in place which will continuously
> try to reinitiate connection (with configurable intervals) to KMS until a new
> connection is established.
