So instead opening the door further to time features in [lang], should we consider pointing users to Joda-Time? Plain and simple. Dare I suggest that we deprecate the time package and point to Joda-Time? Looking at the org.apache.commons.lang.math.*Range stuff the other day, I was wondering if we should have a DateRange class that supports more than just hours and minutes. I also really dislike the int approach to the time; 2359 etc. Feels very unwieldly. Should this concept of 'is in range' be applicable to the concept of a Duration, or to JODA's concept of an Interval, Duration or Period?
