Re: Homebrew Open Phone

2007-10-19 Thread Doug Sutherland
Compulab does have, and has always had, very interesting
embedded boards. But before you get excited about this one
that the article states "starting at $122" ... Unless they have
changed their way of doing sales, you don't just buy one
module, you buy an evaluation kit, which runs up close to
$2000. Only after buying said kit can you buy just modules.
Also, what is the "starting at" module? Probably not the one
you would end up wanting. It's a very nice product but it
will not be something you can put together for hundreds of
dollars, read their web site for the details on how sales
work, before getting too excited.

I suppose this is directed to the list moderators/admins.
I was wondering if there is a way to have "openmoko" or some list

sent out by the list.
It would make sorting my emails much simpler, as right now i'm forced to
sort my mailbox by hand daily.

If Hotmail doesn't support this feature, you should consider using a proper

2007-10-19 Thread Urivan Saaib
Clinton,

There is always the chance to filter the "To" or "From" header. Any smart
email client and email user should know how to set this up.

I guess that if you want that tag attached to the subject line means you
are subscribed to a lot of mailing list... If so, I'll suggest to filter
properly instead of mix everythying in your inbox.

Well... Just follow wiki instructions to start developing an image.

Program's sources are automatically downloaded, so you'll just have to
browse the development tree to read the source code !

You'll find that openmoko software is developed like standard linux
software, so learning how to compile a package for 'plain' linux should be a
good starting point...

I use Gmail and i dont want that [openmoko] tag...
With gmail i can make my own, and i can call it OM for example
They call them labels

I'm sorry but... gmail rocks for real

Good luck with your manual mail sorting... I hope you're not

Zimbra and OpenMoko

2007-10-19 Thread Mario Wewer
Hello,

does anyone of you also use the open source version of the zimbra (web-)
mail-server?

Okay - this is a little offtopic. :-)

I am currently thinking of how to sync with openmoko or if I can only use the
web-mail client But then the contacts needed to be synced... (I would only
be able to export them and import them again to the neo (and the other way)

Maybe anyone of you already solved that problem?

Greetings

Simply filter on List-id: header which every email from the list has

Heres' an easy one for sieve capable clients:
if header :contains "List-Id"  "community.lists.openmoko.org"
{
fileinto "openmoko";
stop;
}
if header :contains "List-Id"  "announce.lists.openmoko.org"
{
fileinto "openmoko";
stop;
}
