I was marking the pages as spam & puting them for speedy deletion and
stoped doing it to create a Perl bot so I can automate the process
(lasty it were near a 100 pages daily).

I spend some days geting data and training classifiers and geting some vacation
for Hallowen (in a place with bad GSM coverage) and after it linuxcon
and elce in Barcelona my home town and preparing a Perl course (held the last
saturday)
with the local mongers had wasted my free time to read the list.

The bot is not ready but I have the title off all the pages with some of them
clasified to
be used as traning or test sets.

You can count with my help (be it data or write acces of any kind).

Re: Ten general QtMoko and Debian questions

2012-11-12 Thread Harry Prevor
Thanks for all the detailed responses guys. I've decided to install
QtMoko and I'm liking it a lot so far; only thing is that I'm not able
to send SMS (but I can receive) while I was able to send in SHR.
Trying to figure that out as well as get AT&T's GPRS working now.

GTA04 sound

2012-11-12 Thread Griera
Hi:

My OpenPhoenux GTA04 arrived! Thanks all for the work!!

I installed QTMoko v48 (thanks a lot, Radek) downloaded from:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/qtmoko/files/GTA04/

Sometimes I have a serious problem with sound (I never had this problem with
GTA02):

  - Incoming calls do not result in any audio tone but the call actually
received.

  - When someone calls me and I pick up the phone, I do not hear the voice of
the other.

  - If you launch the media player, I can not hear the sound of the song.

On the home screen there are two icons: 1.sh and 2.sh. What are they?

After installing v48 QTMoko the NAND home screen icon does not work.

Thanks!! Griera.

QtMoko v48 - issues with calling

2012-11-12 Thread Peter Viskup

Hi all,
after successful upgrade to v48 (apt-way) I am not able to call to
numbers not saved in Contacts. I just got the 'Disconnected' state after
the try of 'Dialing'. Once the same number is saved as new contact I am
able to call the number without any issues.

Does anybody of you have same experience or know how can I get it fixed?

Best regards,

Change the 'Profile' to Meeting. Unfortunately, it's a known problem.
Radek's working on it...

Hi,
there is something wrong with ringtones playback - it keeps the sound card
open. You can workaround it by setting meeting profile (no ringtones, but the
phone will vibrate). You can do this by going to Settings->Ringtones and
profiles->select meeting->select Activate from context menu.

I am currenyly working on solution, but it will take a few days or maybe
weeks.

> On the home screen there are two icons: 1.sh and 2.sh. What are they?

I dont think they do anything useful now. They are executed in early boot
(initramfs). You can use those scripts e.g. for some custom booting - like
squashfs, tmpfs or nfs image.

> After installing v48 QTMoko the NAND home screen icon does not work.

You would have to flash QtMoko to NAND. But this is not working good and is
even discouraged. It's best to keep the stock hw validation distribution in
NAND. On GTA04 SD card works fast and reliably so there is not much reason to
do any flashing.

Radek

[QtMoko] Mokofaen red signal strength icon

2012-11-12 Thread Neil Jerram
I've been wondering for some time what it means when the GSM signal
strength icon goes red, and whether/how that's different from the icon
disappearing altogether, and whether/how either of those are related to
modem crashes.

After consulting the code, I see that:

- disappeared completely => 0% signal strength
- all red => 1-20% signal strength
- 1 blue bar => 21-40%
- 2 blue bars => 41-60%
- 3 blue bars => 61-80%
- 4 blue bars => 81-100%

Now that I know that, I suggest that the all red icon is quite
unintuitive, and that it would be more intuitive if changed to the same
grey colour as used in the blue bar icons.

Thanks,
Neil

You are right. I rebooted the GTA04 after activating the meeting
profile, and now I can hear the music from media player

Tomorrow I will test if I can hear the phone call voice.

Don't worry. If I can use the phone, the problem c'est pas grave!

I greatly appreciate the efforts you make!!
