Hi all, The screen protector and headphones have been claimed, so this offer is now closed. Apologies to everyone who missed out! Chris. zzz Freerunner headphones and screen protector - free to a good home!
Hi all, As the subject says: I have a set of Freerunner headphones and an Invisible Shield screen protector (screen only) available to anyone who wants them. I don't have a use for either - they've been cluttering up my bookshelf for over a year now - so I've decided to pass them on to someone who might use them. If you want either or both of these items then send me an email with your address and I'll send them out. Australians will get preference, to keep down postage costs, but the offer is open worldwide (If the recipient wants to cover the cost of postage I'd appreciate it, but it's up to them). The screen protector is still in the box unused. The headphones I think I used once, to see if they worked. I'll try them again before I send them off, to make sure they still work. Thank you! Re: [Om2008.9] Where to set Illume's preferences?
Not sure if anyone else followed this up, but this was bugging me as well. I have no idea how to tell Illume to prefer one keyboard layout over the rest, but I was able to work around it. The keyboard layouts are stored in: /usr/lib/enlightenment/modules/illume/keyboards I moved the default one ('Default.kbd') out of the way (renamed it to 'Default.bak', in case something goes wrong and i need it back), then renamed 'Terminal.kbd' to 'Default.kbd'. It's a dodgy fix but it worked for me... the terminal layout now appears by default. Chris. Did you have to add any repositories? I'm using the FDOM image from 13th September and don't see it in opkg list. Chris. Have you tried setting the resolution on the command line? Something like this: sdlgnuboy --vmode=480,640,32 tetris.gb Chris. Audacity probably isn't the best app for doing this, as it doesn't edit .wavs directly - they are imported into a 'project', then exported again. When exported, the .wav's sample format/rate is inherited from the project, not the original .wav file (unless it has changed recently - been ages since I've used it!) mhwaveedit in Linux would be a better choice for this... not sure about Windows apps though, possibly wavosaur or wavepad? Or sox, of course :-). My Freerunner hasn't arrived yet; when it does I'll check this out, it should be fairly easy to write a shell script which will convert any sound into a ringtone. It would be nice if there was an app on the phone itself to do it too... Chris. ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
Re: Value of headsets and pouches for 10 pack orders?
Hi All, Thanks Nick for the spreadsheet - I guesstimated the postage at about $50 for the bulk order and $20 for the individual units, based off past experience shipping stuff from the US - didn't even think to use the Aus Post calculator. In other words, I trust your figures over mine :-) For other Aussies, Nick's figures show a cost of $465 for bulk vs $481 for an individual order. Nick, would you mind if I posted your figures on the Group Orders wiki? Chris. On Fri, 16 May 2008 03:59:49 pm nickd wrote: > That's strange. True - I hadn't yet read Ian's reply when I wrote that :-). Re: Value of headsets and pouches for 10 pack orders?
Hi all, Yeah, with or without extras the customs cost will be the same... and it works out (I think) at about $425 per phone - higher than the cost of an individual order (which falls below the $1000 threshold and so doesn't attract customs charges). So the only 'savings' we're getting are the extras packed in with the bulk orders. If they're only worth (say) $20 each, it's not worth the hassle, it's just as cheap to order individual phones and the extras too if we need them. But if the extras are worth more, we still might saving money. Hope that makes sense :-). On Fri, 16 May 2008 02:46:20 pm Neil Davey wrote: > It's not so much the declaration.. Value of headsets and pouches for 10 pack orders?
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone knows how much the bonus pouch/headsets being offered with the bulk orders would cost if purchased separately? The Sydney group are looking into the (huge) customs costs, and it looks like it might actually work out cheaper if we ditch the bulk order and just order individual phones unless the value of the extras outweighs the extra cost. Thanks, Chris. ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
