Thanks Tom. I am running the latest daily build (yesterday), and the folder structure is slightly different from 2008.9: /home/root/.config/Trolltech.confis a configuration file /home/root/.config/Trolltech/ is a directory with a few files, one of which is Contact.conf Contacts.conf has the [default] section, where you can add the line you mentioned, Tom. Hmm i found that too Yaroslav. Would definitely be handy. Also the keyboard is almost incompatible. When you type in a name and select it, the keyboard puts in a space character which yields no results until you backspace. I might be still slow... what key should I change? may be I haven't described situation clearly I do have 'extended' Contacts.conf which has [default] EnableFindBar=1 thus I do have a search bar in the 'Contacts', but I don't have it whenever I click on Contacts from within the Dialer.
