[Compiz] [Bug 495121] Re: Compiz crashes on unlocking screensaver

2010-01-15 Thread Luke J Militello
Nizar, doesn't help. All I get is just my desktop image, all my windows
go away. I still have to logout and log back in to remedy it. Also,
this bug only now shows itself because of this bug, #411350, being
fixed. Is there any debug commands I can run to assist in a fix?
Although not a major concern, this is rather frustrating.

[Compiz] [Bug 507837] [NEW] Desktop Effects prevents any window from stretching across dual monitors

2010-01-15 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

My problem is whenever I tried to stretch a gnome-terminal window (or
any other window for that matter) across both monitors (start on the
left screen and stretch across to the right screen), the edge of the
terminal window (or other window) would stop at the edge of the monitor
screen.

I'm running nvidia 8400 graphics on a HP dc7800 workstation. I've played
around with the xorg.conf to no avail.

It took me a while to figure out, but by eventually disabling Desktop
Effects, I can now stretch gnome-terminal as well as other windows
across both monitors.

Just for the record, I did attempt to move the gnome-terminal window so
it took up space on both monitors and then stretch it. All that did was
shrink the window back down to a single monitor.

I did not have this problem on 9.04.

[Compiz] [Bug 160151] Re: Edge resistance without stickiness (as in Metacity)

2010-01-15 Thread Johan Walles
I got my Desktop Effects going, and edge resistance is still broken with
your suggested change.

It's not as pronounced as before, but it's still broken.

As long as it's broken, turning it off is probably a better workaround
than trying to hide it.

The sensitivity setting should be increased if anything, but without
fixing the implementation first it would make the current implementation
even more annoying...

[Compiz] [Bug 495121] Re: Compiz crashes on unlocking screensaver

2010-01-15 Thread Keith Hughitt
Confirmed here as well: Ubuntu 9.10 32-bit, 2.6.31-17-generic-pae,
nvidia-185, compiz 0.8.4. Crash seems more likely to occur if screen is
locked for more than a few minutes. An obvious indicator is that compiz-
dependent applications (e.g. Gnome-do) will have crashed as a result.

[Compiz] [Bug 410407] Re: Flash does not work correctly [READ DESCRIPTION]

2010-01-15 Thread Captain Chaos
Incredibly, I appear to have something new to add:

On my system (Karmic 64-bit), the problem appears when I enable System
- Preferences - Windows - Select windows when the mouse moves over
them.

One additional data point: when my mouses passes over certain areas,
such as buttons, on a Flash movie, it turns into a hand pointer, to
indicate that I can click there I suppose. When the clicks are working,
the cursor stays a hand pointer while the mouse button is down. When
focus follows mouse is on and they are not working, the cursor changes
into an arrow pointer while the mouse button is down.
