Public bug reported: I've been running natty since beta 1. Last week, approximately, compiz started going to 100% utilization while switching workspaces with the hotkeys. Sometimes I can go to VTT1 and kill compiz, other times it is a hard lock and I have to power cycle. [Compiz] [Bug 764330] Re: Move window annoying slow with compiz
I had this problem too. I was able to fix it by changing the mouse settings in xorg.conf I am using a Logitech G500 mouse. Use man mousedrv to find the list of valid protocals. I changed my mouse section too Section InputDevice Identifier Mouse0 Driver mouse Option Protocol Logitech # was auto Option Device /dev/psaux Option Emulate3Buttons no Option ZAxisMapping 4 5 Option SampleRate 1000 # i added this to take advantage of the G500's 1000Hz sample rate EndSection The settings applied when I reconnected the mouse. Also the problem went away when I swapped with a crappy 10 year old microsoft mouse. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/764330 Title: Move window annoying slow with compiz To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/764330/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
