Re: [Compiz] [Bug 921094] Re: Mouse clicks impossible in central region of screen
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 709461 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/709461 managed to get the problem back, but the dead zone/inviisible window is not in this case identical to the switcher. The attached output of xwininfo -all describes an area slightly below the switcher, slightly shorter, and approximately the same width (I can't seem to get xwininfo data on the switcher itself, sorry). By bringing a full-screen terminal window to the front of the window stack, I was able to visually trace the approximate dimensions of the dead zone (because the cursor shape changes visibly). I also found a second very small dead zone in the upper right quadrant -- very oddly, the xwininfo output for that second, very small, dead zone is identical to the output of the first window. I can't really see why that would be the case, but am also attaching that output to this bug report. xwininfo -all doesn't really seem like enough info to figure out which application is responsible for spawning, then abandoning this window. Is there anything else I can do? I'll try to hold off on restarting compiz for a while in case you have suggestions. matt ** Attachment added: xwininfo.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/921094/+attachment/2701373/+files/xwininfo.txt ** Attachment added: xwininfo-small-deadzone.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/921094/+attachment/2701374/+files/xwininfo-small-deadzone.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/921094 Title: Mouse clicks impossible in central region of screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz-core/+bug/921094/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Compiz] [Bug 201681] Re: Cursor position changes while dragging objects
This bug is still reproducable on Oneiric. I haven't tested Precise/bleeding edge versions, though. ** Description changed: - In Ubuntu 7.10, when dragging a folder window with wobbly windows turned - on, if you quickly drag the window without letting go between two - desktops, the cursor will start floating off the title bar. + If you quickly drag a window the cursor will start floating off the + title bar. - If you keep quickly switching (I used a circle type motion), you can get - it so far apart that your cursor is on one screen and the folder window - is on another. + If you keep quickly switching desktops via drag (I used a circle type + motion), you can get it so far apart that your cursor is on one screen + and the folder window is on another. I expected the mouse to stay in the same position on the window title bar, not go wandering off. If you let go, window stays where it looks like it is, does not zoom to be under mouse (Which is good I guess). This is not critical, and only shows up if you hold DOWN the drag button for a while, while moving a folder across desktops. ** Description changed: If you quickly drag a window the cursor will start floating off the title bar.
