[Compiz] [Bug 950328] [NEW] Application window goes blank when restoring (maximizing) from minimized state
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce bug: 1. Open any app and maximize it 2. Minimize it with minimize button, wait for animation to finish. Click on launcher to restore that app. Everithing is OK 3 Minimize app and while minimize animation lasts click on the launcher to restore app. Window restores to maximized state but is blank (white). You can return contents of window by: 1. Double clicking on panel 2. By repeating action which makes things disappear (step 3 from above). I have duration of minimize and maximize animations set to 400 ms so it's easier to reproduce bug if animations last longer. After reproducing bug and closing that window (or soon after) compiz often crashes and I get this bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/950262 In the attatchment is clip which shows all described above (sorry for bad quality, but you'll get the picture). [Compiz] [Bug 939228] Re: Windows randomly changing workspaces
If I use the keyboard shortcut to move a window (terminal for example) to another workspace - so Ctrl+Alt+Shift-arrow I can get something to mess up. When I just did it and it snapped my terminal to the top of the screen, I hit alt and escaped the HUD out of the way and the window remained snapped to the top. In fact, when I invoked the HUD my terminal (on another workspace) was snapped to the top. [Compiz] [Bug 949985] [NEW] Running "Chrome" results in no unminimize button (no switching back to window) on launcher
You have been subscribed to a public bug: 64-bit ubuntu 12.04 beta I installed Chrome from http://google.com/chrome - There was a package for 64-bit ubuntu (.deb) which i used. The program itself worked wonderfully, i loved having, for example, voice search from my laptop (Worked amazing), it has other features i use. I ran the search tool on the gnome launcher (top left button with ubuntu logo) - searched for Chrome - then dragged chrome to the launcher, so it was a launch button, i made sure it was locked to the taskbar or launcher or whatever you call it. But when i run Chrome, no windows are marked as active, and if i minimize a chrome window it is gone for good never to be seen again but in the background somewhere. The chrome browser opens fine. IT just isn't available as a window to switch to. Note - most open windows are markded with a little arrow on the left of it in the launcher, that does not happen with chrome, There is also no secondary icon that is activated. If I click chrome a second time, it just opens a new window, any chrome windows that i minimize cannot, i repeat here, be restored to view again. What I expect to happen: When the window is open for Chrome, there should be an icon on the left launcher telling me it is open. When I minimize a window, i should be able to somehow restore or maximize it. What happened instead: If I minimize a Chrome window, it is gone for good. Even if i press Alt+Tab while chrome is open, it is not in the list of open windows to switch to, even if it is on the screen in front of me. -Rob $ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu precise (development branch) Release:12.04 ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bot-comment -- Running "Chrome" results in no unminimize button (no switching back to window) on launcher https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/949985 You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Compiz] [Bug 755406] Re: Mouse offset problem when using a WINE application maximized
The double title bar problem is worked around by setting the compiz decor/decoration_match key to "!(state=mavert & state=maxhorz)" and the mouse offset problem doesn't seem to happen when windows are undecorated in this way. This presumably works by ignoring the window hints rather than setting them, but it suggests that the problem can be solved without patching wine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/755406 Title: Mouse offset problem when using a WINE application maximized To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz-core/+bug/755406/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Lock the screen (e.g., put your computer to sleep) 4. View the locked screen state Expected: No (or very little) elements of the unlocked state Actual: Even though I haven't typed my password to unlock the computer, the application title of my last used application is displayed. Dean, can you reliably reproduce that? I've been asked for a "screencast" of the problem in another bug, but I haven't been able to figure out a reliable enough way to trigger it. [Compiz] [Bug 949839] [NEW] Windows moves always to be fully in current viewport
Public bug reported: I've gnome-session-fallback installed and I'm using Gnome Classic desktop with compiz. After updating from 11.10 to Precise (beta) on February 22, my Gnome Classic desktop started acting weird. To make sure that this is not related to any of my custom settings, I created a new test account with no customizations, just selected the Gnome Classic session from login screen and was able to reproduce the problem. I'm using destop wall (it is the default too) and have been used to have some windows overlapping to two (or more) desktop viewports (screens). But now, with Precise, when ever I move and place a window so it is partially offscreen of the currently visible viewport and then switch focus to some other window (or root window), the partially offscreen window automatically moves so it is fully in the current viewport, snapped to the edge that it was crossing. Ie, if I move window so part of it is crossing the right hand side of viewport and then focus (either with alt-tab or clicking with mouse) some other window, the window moves left until its right edge is snapped to the right edge of the viewport. This happens on all edges of the viewport. In addition to that, if a window has crossed the bottom edge of the viewport and then snapped back in to view. Now if I try to move such window to middle of the screen (not touching any edges, nor overlapping any other windows), it will still snap back to the bottom edge of the screen when it looses focus. This happens only after the window has crossed the bottom edge, not with other edges. Neither of these problems happen when using Unity or Gnome Classic (No Effects) with metacity. If I use ccsm to disable compiz "Place Windows" plugin, the problem goes away, but all new windows are opened in coordinates (0,0), below the top panel so this is not an usable workaround. Also, If I disable the "Place Windows" plugin and re-enable it, the windows that have crossed the bottom edge stop snapping to bottom edge until they have recrossed it. [Compiz] [Bug 947443] [NEW] Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 1 desktop freezes
You have been subscribed to a public bug: >From time to time the Ubuntu desktop just freezes on me, and I cant use the keyboard nor the mouse. I looks like it happens when I have many tabs open in Firefox, but it can also happen when I use other programs (like Gnome Image Viewer). When it freezes I might be able to use CTRL+Alt+F4 (when I press several times) so I can shut the pc off with "shutdown -r now" command. If not my only option is to turn the power off (I lose all my work when this happens). I have a clean install of Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 1, and I have not installed the proprietary AMD graphic driver. This also happened when I tried out the Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha 2 on the same pc. But when I installed and used the xbuntu-desktop on Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha 2 it worked just fine - so it must be something with the Unity stuff (or compiz). This have never happens before on my pc (I have used previous versions of Ubuntu on the same hardware). Some of my hardware: Intel Core 2 Quad AMD Radeon HD 5870 I do not know how to read log files - but I can post them if you tell me where to look. Thanks for reading. ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Tags: precise -- Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 1 desktop freezes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/947443 You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
