[Compiz] [Bug 1015346] Re: high compiz cpu occupation after the screen auto suspend

2012-07-13 Thread MVNregress
I have the same issue as well with ATI Mobile HD 5000 Series on HP
Probook 4321s laptop.

- Xorg and compiz occupy enormous CPU resources while ubuntu is on
screen-auto-suspend or battery-mode.
- Reloading Compiz or Unity makes the system responsive again.
- In the case on battery-mode, plugging AC power is not a immediately solution.
My laptop needs 2~5 minutes to be normalized after plugging AC power.
- But I can't find critical error message in /var/log/xorg.0.log
- I can reproduce this every time.

If you need additional logs etc., mail me puk...@naver.com

[Compiz] [Bug 734908] Re: Unity is visible on top of fullscreen apps

2012-07-13 Thread MC Return
Daniel, I am not able to confirm this fix yet.
Using compiz 1:0.9.8-1+bzr3285-staging1-201207130249~quantal1 the panel is
still visible on top of fullscreen applications.

When setting a video to run fullscreen on my second monitor (1280x1024)
the Unity-panel disappears first, but once I click on any other window
on my main monitor, the Unity-panel on the second monitor instantly
reappears. Clicking on the running fullscreen video makes this panel
disappear again.

Trying to set the same video to fullscreen on the main monitor
(1920x1200) presents me a completely black screen plus a (hiding)
mousecursor now :( - there is no Unity-panel visible or appearing on the
main monitor, even if I select another window on the second screen.

[Compiz] [Bug 781931] Re: New windows are moved to front but don't take focus

2012-07-13 Thread Guillaume
Hi palimmo !

If the bug takes a long times to be fixed, it's only because there's about
70bugs to fix for Unity 5.14. This bug is attached to Unity 5.14, then it will
be corrected in a few weeks. But, if the bug is fixed today or tomorrow, it
will be not release before all the bugs attached to Unity 5.14 are fixed. When
all these bugs will be fixed, Unity 5.14 will be released and the fix will come.
If it takes time, it's not because it is hard to correct it, it's because
there's lots of bug to fix.

I hope not to see 5.14.0 → 5.16.0.

Also for me using 2d with 12.04 this was fixed some time ago, so not
sure why it is marked as won't fix. There is the worse issue on 2d that
the windows are not even moved to the front (bug #889044) but I see that
is marked as critical so hopefully it will be fixed.

[Compiz] [Bug 966744] Re: Resume from suspend leaves me with black screen or a screen of the desktop before it suspended (though the mouse still moves/changes cursor)

2012-07-13 Thread Nils Herde
I have experienced this far less after I read something about this
occuring when Software center or Update manager was requiering user
input and thus made sure none of them were open when suspending.

But this is clearly not resolved and I think it's about time someone
told us that this is being worked on, and exactly what logs and other
things we can provide to help fix this critical bug! And even though it
seems that it's a combination of packages that triggers this bug someone
should take responsability and not just leave it up to one of the other
teams.

It's something that not only should be fixed in 12.10 but also
backported so that the LTS work as it should.

[Compiz] [Bug 873628] Re: Logitech Performance MX Darkfield mouse buttons support is incomplete

2012-07-13 Thread Fabián Rodríguez
Expected buttons behavior:

Button 1 - left click
Button 2 - wheel click / middle button
Button 3 - right click
Button 4 - wheel forward
Button 5 - wheel back
Button 6 - wheel left click
Button 7 - wheel right click
Button 8 - browser history: forward
Button 9 - browser history: back
Button 10 - application switch / Exposé on Mac
Button 13 - zoom

** Description changed:

The fingertip Zoom (Button 13) and Switch apps (Button 10) buttons
are not mapped on this mouse.

The Zoom button should be mapped to Ctrl, thus enabling the zoom
feature in most apps when scrolling the wheel (or Super if one
prefers the Zoom feature provided by Compiz).

The Switch apps button should be mapped to the Scale feature in
  Compiz.

As a workaround, such buttons can be mapped to the above or to other
  functions using the compizconfig-settings-manager package.
