[Compiz] [Bug 1037142] Re: Week33 - Grid highlight window appears while switching between workspaces
Acer Aspire One D260 (Intel Atom) - Just ran update to 12.10 from 12.04, plus most recent updates I am observing the orange translucent half-screen appear on a regular basis whenever I move the pointer to either left or right edge of screen (does not appear on my system if pointer moved to top or bottom of screen) and appears either on left or right half dependant on which side of the screen edge the pointer is. The overlay is persistent even if Hud or menu screen are entered, and does not seem to matter if window on screen is maximsed or not and only goes away if workspace switcher is activated. Have not noted any windows moving into this area from other workspaces, but I've only just upgraded and have not started real work yet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1037142 Title: Week33 - Grid highlight window appears while switching between workspaces To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1037142/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Compiz] [Bug 1052773] [NEW] [regression] Newly open windows restacking relative to each other can end up above panels
Public bug reported: It is possible for windows created in time right next to each other that need to restack relative to each other to have their restack operations fail and end up on top of the shell. This is because we search for the restacking target before configuring the window and reject the operation if it was invalid. However, that code to check if the operation was valid was broken because it didn't use the most up to date server state. This would result in warnings such as: Warn - Attempted to restack window relative to ... which is not a window that compiz owns Those windows would fail to restack, and if just created, end up on top. This can cause gnome-terminal and mumble to open above the dash, for instance. ** Affects: compiz Importance: High Assignee: Sam Spilsbury (smspillaz) Status: In Progress ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Sam Spilsbury (smspillaz) Status: Confirmed ** Changed in: compiz Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: compiz Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: compiz Assignee: (unassigned) => Sam Spilsbury (smspillaz) ** Changed in: compiz Milestone: None => 0.9.8.4 ** Also affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Sam Spilsbury (smspillaz) ** Branch linked: lp:~compiz-team/compiz/compiz.find-top-level-window- server-frame.2 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1052773 Title: [regression] Newly open windows restacking relative to each other can end up above panels To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1052773/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
